Not really, we aren't supposed to be a damage dealing profession. We are the tanks, so we're based around defensive modifiers and abilities. We don't even have to pay for armor! =]

agreed. If ya want damage, then take Pikes or Swords with TKM, and then you see the damage flowing.

Whatever, you can try and digest that BS they feed us all you want, I didn't get TKM to be a "tank" I got it as a combat profession, combat requires the ability to do damage as well as take it.
Tanks are good for one thing, taking it.... wherever you may...the Devs have infact made you all...TANKS........for their bullsh!t.

No, Actually you must be lusting to be the least effective combat profession or the most prostituted support profession in the game. Im full out TKM not some melee stacker FotM like you, you have no ground to stand on in making an argument to me about any matters of TKM you probly just use the profession for its defenses which is what got us all here to begin with. I am TKM I'm not going anywhere and I'm not going to resort to "getting swords" to have an offense and I wont "rub some dirt in it". I will stay here and express my opinions on how I think the profession has been gimped.

No, the fact is, as someone else has said, TK is only designed as average damage output, however we rate a five in Defence. The reason Unarmed Damage & weapons not longer stack are because we should no longer need that to happen to be competitive. Our bare fists should be just as effective as using a Master Level Knuckler (generaly). The reason they no longer stack is alot like what JFreeman recently said about swords & swordsman. In their case it was that the Swordsman should have viable Swords (ie not hammers) & thn in our case it's that us Unarmed Specialists should be special when unarmed.
& So due to this our unarmed damage was made to a level of a decent weapon, unlike pre-CU where a VK was as good as required for the AP1 & the extra 175(ish) damage.
& guys, by all meens discuss the stuff but keep it civil, I don't want to have to call in some mods because you guys get in to a flame war.

FYI, I've been TKM since ~August 2003.
Look, you should stay and keep expressing your opinions, just like I'll stay and express mine. The fact is the CU changed the way our profession works and the way it's defined. You should adapt to that and work around it. I wasn't happy about it, but I've learned to embrace our role as tanks, and due to that many times I can outlast the jedi in my guild when PvE'ing high level mobs. They turn and Force Run while I'm still taking (and DEALING) damage.
No other combat profession besides Jedi can truly shine on it's own unless combined with facets of other professions.
Oh and my template is hardly FoTM. I have no medic skills!!!
