So, how many of you have thought about using some Force in your TKM? I know I have. I have done the multiple Elite Melee stacker thing, the doc 4000 thing and now Im looking at doing some TKM and Force dabbling.

I know it costs 24 skill points just to get access to those Force Powers but those points arent a waste. You get bonuses to your melee and ranged defense as well as melee accuracy and speed; then there are two other choices you have to fill. (I'm thinking healing and terrain neg. if thats possible, dont remember).

But once you spend those 24 points all the force skills are available (of course it will take time to get to this point). I cant see myself putting 24 points into FS skills just to take one line of skills like Force Healing 4000. If Im gonna dump the points for Force Healing (which is less expensive than Doc 4000 by the way) I might as well take some other force skills.

As a TKM I have Improved COB so the FOrce Defender line really doesnt hold alot execpt 0040 has some force defense but thats only good against jedi. So, this is where I would like to start. What suggestions would you make?

Thanks

It is a complicated build, and to say first 0040 defender from jedi does not only work against jedi, it is like CoB it works against all type of damage, the easiest way to think about it is to adapt the force powers to your playing style, and what you like to do, they can all be formidable, however it is very tricky, i would say that you want to get something to complement tkm, master enhancer looks very cool and add force healing to it and you can be very formidable in deed as you would resist states be protected against jedi attacks, and would have increased speed and be equipped with roots and snares along with the regain consciousness abilty from master enhancer, while many like force powers to add to your template, without the 0004 line from enhancer with your lower force pool youd be in trouble in most instances, but sabers helps, its all just what fits your style of play be it grouper support, tanker, damage dealer, check theother postthere are about 4 other posts like this one right now, with different opinions

Hmm, interesting and thanks.

Yes, I would definitely want something to complement but Im so ignorant about the different jedi skills and what they do. I know I would take Force Healer 4000 but it seems like enhancer has some good utility.

Im looking for a PvP build that doesnt dominate but can survive in a large scale encounter.

Off to look for those other posts, thanks again.

well honestly here are some kinda pros and cons from an educated but not experienced person

sabers would help maximize your total offense, what i have heard is you can use tkm to wear your opponent down and then finish them with the sabers due to a high damage output, but at the cost of losing Improved Center of Being which is Tkm's greatest asset, Sabers includes three saber types one handed, two handed, and double bladed, with one tree in saber construction and saber special attacks ei saber throw virtually non miss knockdown shot

powers would help maximize output without sacrificing Center of being, which can help but force costs on them are normally higher then sabers although with this new publish 19 it may be close to the same

healer is obvious uber heals, although most people only get 4000 heal, although master healer give the ability to totally heal yourself hehe, tempting i know

Defender is very useful and does what it says defends you as well as tkm and better, their greatest powers are Force Aura which is the same as CoB they say but i think its slightly better, and they have the famed Avoid Incapp which will keep a jedi alive even at zero health for about 60 seconds if im not mistaken, very cool power makes you a virtually in invincible tank, also they have force valor which helps block ranged attacks

and Force Enhancer which does just that enhances your abilities, the first tree give you force speed makes you hella fast, and force run hehe burst run does what? lol nothin compared to force run, an entire line that gives you the ability to resist states like its nothing, also the force armor which stacks and protects you from force attacks, and a tree that helps you to recharge your force and gives you a nice snare attack to snare the enemy, master abilties granted are very cool as they give you stassis a practically non missing root that keep them from even attacking you, also an even faster force run, and the coolest, the ability to regain consciousness move that can bring you back from incapp or death not sure i remember which but its cool as hell,

so you can see how each will help ya hope this helps

OMG, this is so helpful. I have been asking for this on the jedi forums for a while with no responses.

I wonder where that avoid incap lies in the branches of Defender? Also, can that work with the other incap defense in the enhancer line?

Oh, is there an intimidate anywhere too?

Thanks

defenders avoid incapp ability is a master ability, and the enhancerability just brings you back from it and costs alot of force to use, where avoid incapp keeps you from being incapped

kinda tricky i think, not sure about it, used to recover us from incapp, now it is supposed to make us avoid it, but its like feign death doesnt always work i dont think, either that or im just using it wrong,

I hate having to explain this to hopefuls of TKM/MDEFENDER but...

Aura doesnt stack with cob, and if you get novice defender, all of your tk innate armor gets cancelled out, So your skills are pretty redundant. But if you think it will be fun, whatever floats your boat.

The higher one of innate Armor is used so TK stick as long as the Jedi once is less effective

Well, regardless. I know Improved CoB adds 500 to defense so I probably wont be using any defender. I will spend the points elsewhere, probably all in enhancer. If I need ranged damage I can use my proton carbine (probabaly wont do much damage but it wont suck my force bar down, I will need to conserve force as I will have little compared to a full jedi.)

Well I like to think that the Teras Kasi community is a friendly one.
The Jedi community is always crying about something.
As far as Avoid incap, I think its in the Master Defender box.
Intimdate is in Force powers *I think* haha haven't had my Coffee.
If your keeping TKM..I wouldn't pick up Jedi Defender.
