Mostly A. I started playing TKA as soon as I got the game on launch day, but then the game got boring. After I came back about six months later I started TKA again and its much funner than it used to be.

F) Other: I was a smuggler first, then added pistoleer. I wanted a melee profession to go with that, and TK was the only one I could master without dropping smuggler or pistoleer. Besides, I love the ability to fight well while weaponless. The fact that it's a strong prof, the moves look good and meditate is great are just icing on the cake :-)

I gave up on the Jedi Grind when the Holo said to master Bounty Hunter when I dropped it to start the holo grind. I figure with the new jedi trials, no other profession by themselves other than TKA would be able to complete them w/o a guild behind them. (Im a casual solo player 95% of the time). I figure with master Creature Handler, Ranger, and the rest in TKA, I have a decent chance at completeing the trials.

A combination of B and C, I suppose. Though, I'm not really one of those FOTM players, nor do I really care that much about PvP.

On my alt (well, it's my main anymore), I was playing as a Pistoleer, and planning on going up all the way to Master. I had done the unarmed tree already, but thought it too frustrating and gave up before I got the xp required for TKA novice. (I was only about 5k into the 125k needed).

The other night, I was hunting Rancors with one of my guildmates who's a TKA Master. Just checking the combat logs, he was doing about twice as much damage as I was on average. At one point he says something to the effect of "I'll take off my Vibroknuckler so you can get some xp". He had to disarm so he didn't kick so much arse, so I could get some xp! lol. About that time, I was thinking about doing TKA (which I'd half-though of doing before), or Rifleman. The final decision came when we were surrounded by 5 Rancors. I started taking on one of them, and he took out the other 5. Then, he came over and helped me finish off mine, which was only about halfway down.

Granted, I wasn't a Master Pistoleer, but I was about 3/4 of the way there. Plus, I've been reading about how powerful TKA's are intended to be, as well as seeing some of the benefits like being able to heal your own mind wounds. Playing through the UA tree again (this time with armor, buffs, and the ability to select higher missions by equipping my pistol) is actually a bit more fun this time around. It's frustrating to have to chase creatures down instead of being able to simply shoot from a distance, but this is pretty fun, too. Still, if the combat revamp puts more power into the ranged weapon classes, I'll probably ditch it again. Not that I want to chase the FOTM, but I want a good all around fighting class that is fun to play and can hold its own. Right now, Carbines can't, IMO, and Pistoleer is too weak. Haven't tried Rifles, though. My old main is a BH, and those are so frustrating that I only login as my BH to make sure my house maintanence is paid up.

Got killed by a master teras kasi artist in PvP in the beginning of the euro server, and I thought their moves looked sweet, and I'm all for style, so I chose Teras Kasi.

B i suppose is the best answer. I was master carbineer for a long time. I needed a combat class so i could protect myself while surveying in the desert and carbine seemed to offer what i needed....decent long and short range attacks and defense while moving, etc. However, over time I became very disenchanted with the profession and changed for the following reasons:

1)watching my rifleman and TKM friends do 4K damage for every 1k i did

2) bleeding myself to death with my special carbineer shots

3)broken special shot options, one month they work, the next 4 they are "nerfed"

With all the disadvantage inherent in TK,to me the advantages are worth the change.Hunting is a blast! I can take on creatures as a TK unbuffed that i struggled to take on while buffed as a carbineer. I can meditate to heal most anything except battle fatigue (am dancer to cover that side). I can do a mini powerboost which is semi helpful. I am sorry I did not switch months earlier!

F) Other: My first day in SWG I wanted to do something and had no credits to buy weapons, so what's a poor man to do........start using the profession that was suppose to have no weapons. Been a TK ever since.
