What about they would be armor piercing heavy so that would make it better in pvp battles.

They tried this on TC and it was WAY unbalanced. Even though it was heat damage.

I still don't see what the problem is with having blast damage. Stepping on swordsmen's toes? Pfff.... They have an AP2 blast hammer. A HAMMER! How in the world does a hammer pierce armor? But I digress.....
Let the swordsmen have their AP2 blast damage hammer, while our new VK would be blast damage AP1. Blast is the most feasible damage type for TK aside from kinetic. A blast plate along the knuckles triggers a smallexplosion upon impact with the target. And don't say "where would the ammo fit for it?" cause I'll say 2 words to you. Launcher Pistol. Where do you think all those tiny rockets are stored? 
If not blast, then cold would probably be the next best option for the new knucks. How that could be rationalized I have no idea. A spray of liquid nitrogen upon impact I guess. Not sure. I still like the blast idea more.

I see a cold based VK being very useful as there arent many things that can do that damage anyhow. Getting like blast, stun, or electric would be cool but all we would hear would be complaining from the other melee classes themselves. This would put some power to a cold based weapon. I also have rifleman with TKM and i must say i hardly ever have used my cold rilfe cant see it working any better than the T-21 anyways.

Just make it kinetic damage unarmed and blast or something with VK

Cold damage is the only thing really possible.
- Heat is close to useless actually because many things with high Kinetic resists have high Heat resists.
- Stun is Fencer's damage type - let them keep that.
- Blast is Swordmsna's damage type - let them keep that.
- Electricity is Pikeman's damage type - let them keep that.

Being that all composite base covers high but stun/lightsaber, VK's should be AP3 with same damage crafting system now. Being kinetic, it would even out, not taking advanteage of a damage type but keeping all overpowered professions in check. If not AP3 then attach a Dot exclusive to TKM or looted weapons, like FIRE.

I always thought it made sense to leave the knuckler damage type alone.
Why not change it so that "no weapon", true unarmed is stun damage. To me that would make some sense. When you punch someone you dont actuall cut them. You are mashing their organs into the inside of the body frame. That kind of sound like stun damage to me.

I don't really see the point in pushing for a different damage type... composite armor has high resists to pretty much every damage type except for stun (your a complete idiotif you think that the devs are ever gonna give us stun damage). I, like many others, would like for VKs to have AP2.

I personally would like to see a cold damage type weapon. Cold damage isnt used by many people currently and I believe the only weapon to have it is the SG82 rifle. You wouldnt be stepping on anybodys toes, and youd be giving TKA a unique damage type.

You do notice this would only decrease our damage against stun-armored fighters?
40% Resist from Armor itself (stun armor stats on my server) another 50% damage reduction because of AP0 plus you will be doing even less damage because you dont have the added damage from the VKs

No, there definately isn't a cold damage pistol. The only Cold Damage weapons are the SG Rifle and Proton Grenades, atm.

I would rather see pikemen get an AP3 weapon, since NO melee profession has one.. not even jedi
