Thread: Bh's are getting special armor, why not tka?

dude this is OUR boards, we have every right to post here our ideas and opinions on how to make the game more fun, besides it makes life for the devs easier cause they know what we want, so quit complaining about our mere sugestions.

Ok people. In RL warriors used very similar styles to TK in armor that weighed up to 200lbs. They did it just as well wearing this as I have seen anyone do with out wearing such armor. Also perhaps a way to fix the current armor situation would be to give each prof certs for their own types of armor. Making it so that you have say 12 types of armor comparable to composite, however all are made different and have different weaknesses reflecting the class using it.

YOu people that want the new armor aren't really loyal to the TKA profession your just here cause of the TKAs current power... IF and when TKA gets nerfed you'll leave with the rest of the idiots that hang around here for the same reason

Who is whining? Do I think TK is all powerful? No. Fencers and Riflemen are much more powerful in PvP, Swordsmen and Riflemen are AT LEAST AS GOOD in PvE. I like TK for what it is. It is a way of being to me. Just as all RL forms of Martial Art originally were thought to be.
I support anyone that wants to improve any profession. I also think it is retarded to give a type of armor like Mando to only what 3-4 profs? Mandolorians were a race, they ranged through every profession in the galaxy. So do I think it is fair that a select few profs get a bonus like this? No. Not unless the bar is balanced for all. Give the Melee Profs, not just TK but the melee profs as a whole, a new armor that is meant only for them. Make it strong against elements most common to melee battle. IN this game that means Kinetic, Blast, Energy, Electricity, Heatand Stun. I dont think I missed any that the melee profs can use did I? Treat those ase effective resists. Maybe special protection for kinetic since all the melee classes use it as do creatures that as melee we stand toe to toe slugging it out with. Have Acid, Cold andRestraint be our worst fear as these are all damage types which we cant use so we should be less prepared to defend against them.
Now I dont want UBER armor. Hell capall armor at 70% after slice instead of 90% for all I care. I only wear Ubese right now anyway. I just would like to see things applied equally to all players. In the next three publishes 4 or 5 profs get new armor. Why not make things fair nad create some new goodies for the other profs too. Plus doing this means we would see more diversity. A lot of people would stick with Comp. some would pick up the new stuff. Anyone that can get it and qualifies for wearing it will have Mando. and maybe make a couple marksmen and support armors. Give people armor that is comparable to the current FotM and you will have diversity. Now there is nothing but composite if you want any real protection.
