I still dont see the problem with my BE tissue idea. Let the BEs craft a tissue (with the help of an armorsmith, and would take advanced looted components) that can be put in a peice of clothing during the crafting process. That tissue would add the same mods that a robe would should they be put in the game. This way, the people that want robes have them. The people that dont want robes have dont have to have them. Everybody comes out ahead - TKs, Tailors (renewed business), Armorsmiths, and BEs.
Is there ANY problem at all with this idea? I am getting no feedback here.
If they have to add something to let us tank properly without just doing it through skills that only work when you have the right or no weapons/armor equiped then I like your idea best. Would mean we wouldn't have to sacrafice our prefered cloths and all run around identicaly dressed. The level of customisation of how our characters can look and dress is one of the reasons I much prefer this game to alot of others.

I do want my Gi, even if it's mostly for roleplaying purposes...why not? If it provides help, the next time I'm called upon to help with a Krayt or whatever I'll wear 'em into battle, and let the ranged guys play 'follow the Amazon'. I'm weird, I actually enjoy tanking and helping others survive by keeping baddies' aggro on me instead of them, that's why I went TKM in the first place. Otherwise it'll be what I wear when I want to *look* like a martial artist.
For everyday stuff, I'll stick with my hotpants, or my BE'd camos (finally getting used to the red and white camoflage, bloody useless for hiding anywhere but the +4 melee defense/+15 stun defense sure comes in handy, hope they're still effective in some way after the CU) and the undershirt I just got that provides similar defenses. Just need me gloves, boots, and a jacket, maybe even some kind of headwear if I can ever find a hat that I can stand wearing, that provide other resistances, and I'll have my outfit. Though I do wish more BE's would make skirts and blouses/bustiers that provided combat mods and not just dancing or medic adds. Us girls go out into combat too! Some of us are even pretty good at it

yeah. don't expect unarmed 4 to be uber. what would be helpful (though i realize the team is busy) would be some explanation as to what a lot of the new mods mean. from what i can gather, "defense" is hit or miss? with the 250 for cob, i'm getting hit for the same damage, but it seems like 1 out of 5 times they miss more? like i've posted before, the 250 additional "defense" doesn't make me hopeful for the unarmed defense to come. i only wish you (mankind00)could tell us more than you're probably allowed to about the actual tk tree. i'm under the impression that in terms of krayts and the like, we're going to get hit for 12k 3 out of 5 times anyways so i should just stay out of the tankspot and shoot my t21 like a good little soldier.
as for robes...i'd rather have armor that has the ns stalker appearance (cuz my toon has uber cleavage). which would probably look more "tk-ish" than a 4-piece armor suit and hotpants.

I'd be happy to see it added as a new tailor schematic so anyone from any profession can use it for roleplaying purposes butI don't want to be forced into wearing it to hunt.

Y'know, that is a point...I don't PVP generally (re: hardly ever) but I do recall recently when I was unarmored, unbuffed, my Master Commando tag showing, no weapon in my hand even (tend to go without unless I know I'm going into combat, why carry a flamethrower when I'm not going to be using it), and a meatlump aggroed me in Bestine. Somebody there who was armored and etc. barely had time to say 'Need some help?' before I one-shotted the thug barehanded, one knockdown hit and he was down all right, I was looting his corpse and saying, 'No, I got it, thanks

I agree, If we dont get to wear armor they should add some robes with defenses for TKA.

If this picture is correct, then the robes should have a bonus to movement. It would make sense.

Yeah Nerz, that thread you linked to lists theories, not facts known. For what is really known you should check out www.teraskasi.net, it has some good EU sources. There aren't very many of them.
The idea of TKAs wearing robes isn't contradictory to, nor supportive of the EU simply because there is so little info in EU. However, the concept of a religious order doesn't seem to fit with what little we know, TKAs for the most part in the EU are nasty, greedy, bloodthirsty folks who use their training to gain power and wealth.
