Thread: To all TKs (get your lighters out)
Kayl, please hurry and get TKM so you can get owned by riflemen over and over and over. Trust me, every "I win button" in the game isn't going to guarantee you squat. Here's a clue, a target can't be spammed knockdowns over and over. A kneel and a KD work, but not multiples of the same thing for30 seconds. In that amount of time you're already dead.Clue number two, don't pvp solo, and if those you pvp with don't support you get a new group to play with. Would you promise us to come back and say you're sorry when you learn?
Also, if you are a master CM as you say,you shoulddarn well know better than to find yourself anywhere near the range of a TKA. That's just how it is, plain and simple. Play your role in life (sitting back lobbing poison and disease FROM RANGE) and quit whining here. We can't help itif you tossed when you should have ran.

This isn't true. I've gotten the drop on a few ranged professions and they've gotten the drop on me. A smart ranged professional runs when they see a meleer headed straight for them. That's their advantage over us. A smart meleer runs toward their target or attempts to lure them into close quarters. That's the advantage of my class.
Suck it the hell up - I'm sick of hearing this sh*tty excuse. The SP cost of TKM is so low you could Master Commando at the same **edit** time and still have enough left over for Novice Medic and Diagnostics I. Of course, I understand it's hard to master commando when so many TKMs are Master CHes at the same time!
TKM costs just as much as Master Fencer and Master Rifleman. Ranged should pick up the Ranged Weapon Support line, but it's not a requirement.
Additionally, you have an attack range of 5-15m. Think about that for a second. For those of you who can't do the goddamned math, that's a 16.4 foot REACH you have. Kickboxers have only the length of their arms and legs. And with lunge, you get a 15m ranged attack that can make us kneel so you can get to use your precious KD/DIZZY! That's 49.21 feet, done with just the push of a button! WOW! I'm sure Olympic long jumpers would LOVE to have that since none of them have even broken 30 feet yet IRL!
This range was extended (originally 7-9 meters if I remember correctly) to account for server lag and latency. This attack was useless and didn't work unless your opponent was standing still because of the aforementioned issues. Now it works as intended. Also the attack is UA Lunge I from the brawler line and not TKA. It's available to any Novice Brawler. As you noted in a previous post, Master Brawler gives a range of 20 meters with a KD chance. Again, not in the TKA tree.
Additionally, I'm a Master CM right now as well (holo profession I'm hanging onto to max Medical xp for). I have a combo on me called my "Mindscrewer" combo which diseases not only mind, but the two substats of mind, focus and willpower (the latter two being area diseases so a targets "buddies" get a taste too). I hit a Master TK with it tonight and it gets meditated away in less than a minute. Not even DOCTORS can cure my combo that goddamned fast it's so virulent.
Meditate is a nice perk of TKA, but we loose defensive mods because of it. Fencers, Swordsman and Pikemen are able to resist status affects (dizzy, stun, blind and the such) much better than TKA's. We also don't have a bleed like all other combat classes do.
So guess what, guys? I'm not going to campaign to get you nerfed, I'm gonna do something much, much worse. I'm going to BECOME a KD-spamming TKM in addition to a smuggler and pistoleer (all masteries, since I don't believe in dabbling). I'm going to then proceed to gay the hell out of your prized profession spamming every controversial attack on every non-TKM in the game that I meet in battle or in duels, and have THEM come on here to b*tch and moan to get your profession properly "balanced," as the Devs put it. Besides, I'm only ONE person, so it'd be oh so much more damaging to get more and more people to campaign to get you nerfed FOR me, whilst I have the precious "I Win, You Lose" button.
The amount of people doing this are legion. Just look at all the nerf posts on this board. You're going to KD/dizzy yourself into oblivion. Have fun.
