Kiting: Are there any plans to resolve the kiting issue for TKAs?

Kiting is not a problem with our class it is a tactic that other classes use to combat us.

HUH?

THE TACTIC THAT THEY ARE USING IS CALLED: KITING WHEN THEY HAVE ALL THE OFFENSIVE ADVANTAGE BASED ON THEIR RANGE. ELIMINATING OUR OFFENSIVE ATTACK BY "HIDING" ISN'T A TACTIC THAT I WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN. PVP'ERSTHE USE TK ARE SCREAMING KITING BECAUSE OF OPEN-AREA PVP. WHY RUIN THE GAME EXPERIENCE FOR OTHER PLAYERS BY RUNNING INTO CANTINAS OR HOSPITALS?

For gods sake kiting is an intended weakness if any melee class duh!!! if we could catch or stop anyone we would be invunerable in PvP and ranged classes would stand no chance if they couldn't run away.

so stop whining that you can't be all powerfull it ain't gonna happen :/ Kiting is an intended part of the game

honestly i cannot figure out why you all want "background" about the teras kasi. you know what they're likely to say is: tk is a powerful meleeclass and blah blah blah blah. who cares? i know what you are all really asking. you are all really trying to get a backdoor question here to reveal whether or not tk are supposed to be the "keep jedi in check" and in this game the answer is clearly NO. that's the role of bounty hunters in the game.

ok?

so questions 8 and 15 answered. now let's pick something constructive that answers a REAL issue.

LoL there are no constructive questions available as most will be answered vaguely or crypticly at best. Any question that has to do with combat in anyway will be answered with "That will be addressed in the Combat Revamp"

We need some new damage types. And not one we are going to have to get from a creature that spawns once a day with 100% kinetic resists, and/or will costs us millions to afford from weaponsmiths.

Its not fair at all.

I can answer some of these myself, sheesh.

1: FoW takes so long because it's a pretty big ability. We can come out of incap, sometimes with full health, and turn the tide of a fight. But if we could do it more often it would be unfair. It's cool to do every once in awhile as an emergency but it should be kept as something special; a rare "wow" thing.

2: I'm stacking fencer and pistoleer, and have +100 vs posture change and +120 vs knockdown, and I still have enough points to master both brawler and TK. They should leave the skills as is but change documentation.

4: Our lack of a DoT is a GOOD thing. It's one thing that the other melee professions have that we don't, and it justifies cool stuff like our meditation line.

6: They don't stick for other classes either.

11: As long as we have a KD+dizzy combo to stop the kiting, and we have Lunge2 to have some kind of distance, we can deal with kiting just fine. IF they removed those abilities from us, kiting would be a problem.

12: I love PB. It's one of my favorite skills. It lasts long enough, and when it goes away it only takes a couple minutes to get it back. A free buff to all pools is good enough. I'd like it if it did secondaries too, but I fear that is just TOO much. We'd be overpowered then.

16: We already have what might be the most versatile list of special attacks of any profession. We don't need any more.

17: 17 is the same question as 8, no need to repeat.

19: This is just like question 4. This helps balance us against other melee professions. Though I admit that it makes CoB useless; we should just not have CoB and instead have something like a minor resistance (like what synthsteak does).

As for what I think are good questions...

5 is ok but it should be for all melee classes.

7 is simple and makes sense; actually, we don't even need to actually wield 2 VKs, just make it look like we're holding two. Right now we look dumb, like a boxer who only wears one glove.

8 is the best question of all. We need some real background on the TK order, maybe even some story content for it.

13 is a good question, though maybe instead of armor we could get special stat boost clothes or something.

I agree w/ Atama, background is very important "there is no future without a past." Also, we do need dual VK, I don't think Ali can be that effective w/ fighting one hand . Dojo? sound cool, may be a place where we can sip green tea and heal BF? Just a few line from a NOOB
