like the secondary boosts, but I think people will complain if tk got even more power
If this cannot be done, I'd say move 30% of the PB bonus to master, and mabe something else..
Personally ive always been a fighter for fow to master.. As I see it as the ultimate technique, avoiding death and regaining with nearly full life..
Thats a master skill in my opinion

JustG has said that type of dabbling was never intended andis broken. I completely supportdabbling, it's part of the mechanic in this game.Defense stacking... I do not support. What takes some of the fun out of PvP where someoneis so defensively stacked heor she is untouchable.Partially why they added the defense caps was because players were making themself impossible to hit. There are those who dabble just to make theirself "uber", aka defense stackers (which are more than likely being fixed in the combat revamp), and then there are those who dabble to gain access to carbine or pistol abilities in other professions. Completely acceptable.
The only reason I personally def. stack is because I want to play a pure melee in this game period. I don't stack to be uber, I stack because it fits in line with the way I see my character in swg and is pretty much the only effective way I can play out this role. I rarely if ever pvp, and had actually started going down the def. stacker route well before it even became fotm. I can indeed see how its broken, and am eager to see how CB fixes this.
Each profession should have pros and each profession should have cons. Professions are masterable so each profession should have an equal amount of desire to master. However, at the same time, dabbling to gain those extra couple pistol abilities is completely fine as well. This is a mechanic thati s extremely hard to balance out. It's really a concept that is hard to explain. The TKA meditation isn't a "perk" that should benefit *all* professions. It just works that way. It's part of a profession. It'ssomething martial artists study in.Those who take this to the next level and master the profession should recieve a benefitthat those at 4000 do not get. This only seems fair to me. You still get an effect from dabbling it, but the masters get a much more rewarding effect.
I'll say the same about Carbineer, Pikeman, Fencer, Rifleman, or any other profession. Those who take it to the next step and master the profession should be exceedingly more powerful with the profession than those who dabble it just for a certain tree or tree(s). Teras Kasi Artistis the same thing with meditation. Those who master the professon should get a greater effect from meditation than those dabbling the meditation line. Of course, those who dabble it should get some sort of effect from it too. We don't want those feeling left out. I have a dabbler myself, just not my primary character.
To sum it up:
I support dabbling in general.
I do not support defense stacking.
I support meditation dabbling.
Masters should be rewarded for mastering the profession.
Dabblers should get rewarded for spending skill points on this branch.
Comments?
Agree with the rest of this, just wanted to clarify why I am currently def. stacking.

It will be nice to see it fixed... I see nothing wrong with your reason to stack.
I made a defense stacked character once just to see what it was like. No one could land a single state on me. I thought combat was boring like that.It was almost like I was immune to everything. I also mostly do PvE... occasionally PvP when I'm bored.

Mandalorian wine eh? I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. Seems like all there is on the chef vendors now is Brandy/Synthsteak/Arisa/Canape. Maybe some aircake and pikkita pie.
There were some wafer things I used when I was a noob on tatooine that really helped, but haven't been able to find them lately.

I think discussions like this is good for the community. You get a good feel of what folks think about certain things and it allows our correspondent to see how we feel...
No worries there, I keep a close eye on what goes on
That's what I like to hear...

I agree with both sides: it is frustrating to see a member of another profession using meditative skills, although I am glad I can dabble in Medic and Artisanto make stimpacks and gather the resources for them. I think what makes the dabbling in meditation different is we can actually see other players using the skills, whereas the Master Doctor giving buffs in the starport can't actually see me make a stimpack.
