"Teras Kasi should have been a study to be persued by master brawlers only at the expense of all other XP and serious time devoted to the study...triple that of any profession. The road to Teras Kasi Master should be three times as hrd to get to and just as tedious as the Jedi...althoug we should NOT be as powerful as the Jedi Masters..we should rival any group of 2 or three masters of any profession."

Do you have any reason WHY? Or is this garbage I just read something you pulled out of your ass?

"These people have re-defined and disgraced what and who the Teras Kasi are."

Tell us. What are Tera Kasi. Please provide sources.

"I am trying to e-mail a guy who claims to be a frined of Lucas and is incredibly insightful and knowlegable about SW. I have sent him a e-mail to look into what SWG is doing and to get the "final word" on this profession...i dont know if he will answer or not."

Wee now you go and give us an appeal to authority. I call BS. All you need to do is provide legitimate sources. You don't need some 'friend of lucas' who is an 'expert of star wars.'

Very intersting....but as far as our role in SWG...we are underpowered and too many to count.

i Heard that the Teras Kasi Started showing up in big numbers in the Great Sith War and was 1 to 4,000yrs ago. But idiots still say im wrong about this stuff, and the RPG's r cannon as lucas himself oversees the Jedi in these games, as well as his Company Lucas Ltd, and Lucasarts, in which he has the RPG's have have to be OK'd by Lucas himself and goes thruogh big guys a at Lucas Entertainment.

Also the Sith recruited some TK's during the great Sith Wars.

Lucas himself stated that those comics and stories were cannon, god i hate idiots.

I would agree with that if we didn't have to go out and fight animals bigger than homes to hone our skills. It'd make more sense that things of that nature were extraneous tests. Optional. I would have much rathered actually training in the profession than trying to see what I could pummel next after hitting a bunch of paralopes to death.

guys, no need to be agressive or hostile, this is really a look into the class background and its relationship to the game. Many could be interested in this for various reasons including roleplay etc.

Best form is of course to find material that is ligit, be it if the author is liked or not on a personal level. at the end of the day, their stuff got published and shoud count for something if it got Lucas's stamp of approval. Also try to list the page it is listed on and quote accordingly from the references you find withough altering it in any way.

Still looking into it, will only get some books to go through on monday/tuesday. have also posted on the main starwars forums for leads and have even posted the question to the official star wars site jedi council where they explain certain things. Have noticed that the Star Wars guide to the planets do not list palawa or bunduki in the outer rim worlds which could mean that some books may not reflect newer additions to the EU. Another place to look into are the comics.

Regarding the stuff on the cantina and the girls, can you list which page it is you found it?

"i Heard that the Teras Kasi Started showing up in big numbers in the Great Sith War and was 1 to 4,000yrs ago."

Source? You need a source if you're going to make outrageous claims like this. Without a source I could just say that Swordsman were the most powerful people and with one swing of the power hammer they could destroy entire planets. Now we all know thats horse crap. Just like your Tera Kasi during the sith war comment.

Oh dear god... so many possibilities for flameitude... i hardly know where to begin... ohmagod... its like hes soaked himself in tar, swallowed a keg full of kerosene and is now standing on top of a big stack of jiffy cubes on a hot dry day... oh man.... oh jesus i dont know where to begin.... i could bust out the all purpose FlameMaster 9k with built in idiot-roasting action, or i could just use a pocket lighter to catch his tar soaked clothing... or maybey i could just use the focal point of the magnifying glass on my swiss army knife to set the poor sucker ablaze. Or should i stab him a few times first to make the point really sink in? Argh flaming possiblity overload!! Too much stupidity to deal with at once... conscious mind cant cope!!!!

Alright....calm down....calm....down. Ok I'm gonna explain this to you and try to get it through the thick Durasteel layer of your skull.

Here is what is considered CANNON (in from highest ranking to lowest):

1.The movies

2. The movie novelizations, screenplays, radio dramas, and DK companion materials (Visual Dictionary, Incredible Cross-Sections, Inside the Worlds)

3. The rest of the "Expanded Universe".

Want some sources? Star Wars Insider #1:

"Gospel, or canon as we refer to it, includes the screenplays, the films, the radio dramas and the novelisations. These works spin out of George Lucas' original stories, the rest are written by other writers. However, between us, we've read everything, and much of it is taken into account in the overall continuity. The entire catalog of published works comprises a vast history -- with many off-shoots, variations and tangents -- like any other well-developed mythology."

The Star Wars Encyclopedia:

"Just what is Star Wars canon, and what is not? The one sure answer: The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition- the three films themselves as executive-produced, and in the case of Star Wars written and directed, by George Lucas, are canon. Coming in a close second we have the authorized adaptations of the films: the novels, radio dramas, and comics. After that, almost everything falls into a category of "quasi-canon"."

Star Wars Insider #68:

"The first two Incredible Cross-Sections books were conceived to explore bold new territory in the Star Wars universe, taking a rare look inside more vehicles and vessels than we had ever seen before, and doing in in unprecidented detail. These books would represent the most thorough research ever done on these vehicles and would receive Lucasfilm's formal imprimatur as canon. These volumes would henceforth be sent out to licensees as reference guides and would become useful manuals for Industrial Light & Magic, where some of the artwork influenced details in Episodes I and II."

I've shown my sources. Let's see yours.

"Also the Sith recruited some TK's during the great Sith Wars."

Source? Whats that? No source? More bull**edit**? kthxbye.

"Lucas himself stated that those comics and stories were cannon, god i hate idiots."

You must really hate yourself. Fan fiction is not now, nor will it ever be cannon material.

If you have ANY information on Tera Kasi please post the book title, comic issue number, whatever. I WILL check your sources. Otherwise shut up with the bullcrap.

It seems TheVeginator is doing a good job reminding people what is cannon/official and what isn't. Good job man

I just want to say that I have found a slight reference to the Teras Kasi art in another book. It's Agents of Chaos II, author James Luceno. The specific quotation can be found on page 130:

"This form of hand-to-hand combat [not teras kasi] has its origin in a martial art developed by the Lorell Raiders when their chief preoccupation was the capture and distribution of female prisoners. While perhaps not as deadly or as mystical in nature as teras kasi- the "steel hands" technique taught by the Followers of Palawa in the Pacanth Reach star cluster in the Outer Rim-it is nonetheless... "

I would like to draw attention to the portion that says "or as mystical in nature as teras kasi." This statement raises interesting questions as to what is "mythical" in a world dominated by a very mystical Force.

To the Dumbasses, i got a tidbit from the The Power of the Jedi Sourcebook: Pg:122 and it is cannon.

Teras Kasi:

The Martial-Arts form known as Steel hands originated ina remote star clustercalled the Pacanth Reach. Many who have learned the secrets of teras kasi have brought the knowledge to other corners of the galaxy.

Practitioners of teras kasialso study history, philosophy, and metaphysics.

The martial arts movementsof ters kasi are based on the hunting characteristics of various beasts throughout the galaxy and r given names such as Charging Wampa, Rancor Rising, Riding Bantha, and Dancing Dragonsnake. To learn the secrets of the teras kasi, one must find a teacher who has studied the form. An individual with the feat learn quickly. but does not gain any bonuses.

1 TKM Jedi Master was Anoon Bondara, and he did actually have a special rapid strike Kata.

Wizards probably did not have all the bonuses in this book since it isnt a Brawlers guide etc, BUT NONE THE LESS IT IS CANNON IF U LOOK INSIDE THE BOOK IT HAS THE OFFICIAL LICENSE OF LUCAS BOOKS. MADE BY TEAMS AT LUCAS.

Also for Jedi there r 4 levels of Martial arts allready, so bonusesr not probably givence it is a Jedi Sourcebook.

Also the Characters from Eps:1-6 r in the book and Old Republic with their stats a good comprehensive guide that also has EU characters stats and bios in it, these were made by permission only by Lucas and the teams working for Lucas.

Roleplaying gamesare inadmissable as evidence. Nowhere will you find anyone with any authority on the subject say that a roleplaying game is cannon. This is because it is not.
