He enjoys cooking so he gains a lot of strength from the foods he creates for himself as a novice chef.He usually wears bio-enhanced clothing that enhance his medic skills quite a bit, otherwise he'd probably wear simpler clothes or robes. He's an Imperial but I'm beginning to wonder if this is contradictory to the ways of the Teras Kasi. I don't know much about the EU.I always keep my roleplayer tag on, but I have yet to actually role-play with anyone in the game. I avoid concepts like "xp", "grinding" or "the game" whenever I can. Oddly, I don't even know what the role-player tag looks like since I've never seen it on anyone else. It surprises me how many people shun role-playing. It begs the question "What else is there?" The RP aspect was something that truly intrigued me when I bought this game, but was rather disappointed to find that practically no one does it.
I don't think there's an RP tag. I can't see it and I've run into situations where I'd RP and someone would say why isn't your RP tag up? I check my profile and roleplayer is checked and I said it was checked. Thing is people have to use search to find a roleplayer and even then it's kind of hard to find a roleplayer that's actually roleplaying. They're usually shouting at the starport or they're hidden because of their faction.
I would be happy if the roleplayer tag could at least replace my profession tag. Heaven knows I'm sick to death of having a profession tag over my head with no method of shutting it down permanently by choosing none.
I stay in character at all times, but for some ooc explanations clearly marked as such. Although my TKM/Master Dancer is not a Teras Kasi with the temple background. Teras Kasi was the only unarmed martial arts available in SWG, so I took it.
My character considers Teras Kasi as just another term for unarmed combat, and accordingly does have her own kind of philosophy/outlook ("Don't look for fights. Stay out of trouble. But if you get into a fight you can't run from, then don't hold back. The only thing that matters in such a case is who is left standing afterwards, not how that was achieved."), and sees her unarmed fighting as another form of dancing.
My character has other limitations - no armor, no spice f.e. - but the reasons for those are not philosophical, but "rational".(I just don't see an unarmed fighter wearing composite armor, nor dancing with armor on, and I don't see my character putting on armor in a second when faced with a fight just because I could have a macro that did that. And spice... well, bad for your body and mind.)

If you want to RP as a buddhist monk in a starwars game thats your choice.
Some people prefer to be more imaginative and come up with there own ideas and since there isnt alot of information about Teras Kasi it leaves it a bit open ended in how they should be. From what I've read of them in books they're all about mastering the body, control of ones self. Not some never ending quest for knowledge.
As for tradional appearances. It depends on how you're rping your character. Did Luke wear Jedi garb in the movies?
Where has there ever been anything about Teras Kasi Artists shunning technology? How did they get to various planets with out using it? Such as when the original planet they lived on was destroyed, how did they relocate to another planet and perfect the Teras Kasi arts over the next few hundred years? (Click there heels together three times and say there is no place like home.) Why wouldn't they use buffs? Sure I can understand the drugs for rp purposes. But as for food or buffs from a doctor I dont see any valid reason why not.
What you think the Teras Kasi should be and what others think they should be, can be and are drastically different. This whole idea of shunning technology just doesnt work in role playing the Teras Kasi Artist. It doesnt even match up with what little history there is of the Teras Kasi or how they came to be the people they are.
Same with Jedi's you cant expect them to RP as if they where the same type of Jedi from the old republic. These are different times and not ust for the Jedi but for the Teras Kasi too. As there arnt that many left or so it is beleaved. (according to starwars history not swg.)
I hope you enjoy rpiong your entire SWG Career on one planet as according to how you RP your character you cant use space ships to get to other planets.
im on kauri atone but im not going to join your guild ![]()
ive had a few characters on kauri first serious one was named Jiub (i always make a test character to feel out the game before i get serious). Jiub was a complete opposite of me in RL as im a very sociable person, outgoing and blah blah blah you know the rest of it. but he was a serious, quiet man who said little but when he spoke everyone listened to him. (a very hard thing to do in this game mind you). he was known but no one had a bad thing to say about him. he traveled the galaxy finding challenges and new places to explore making little to no money( only source of income was missions but i hated running them so i only ever did a few, and collecting hides meat and bone to sell in cities) never spent much time in cities unless to fight for the rebels because its what he believed was the righteous side. he was also a protector of innocents, only time ever failing at this was when his wife was killed while out on a exploring trip with him on rori leaving him with his guilt and their daughter jinbu which i play as now because jiub "died" in battle back in november. jinbu is how i am in real life outspoken and a tad bit irrational at times but still carries traits of her father and she still seeks his wisdom from beyond the grave by visiting the spot he died outside the city where the battle took place. tho she has been other things she still keeps what her father taught her of the Teras Kasi ways she moves on to be a doctor after trying her skill at armorsmith and tailor. and her story has not yet finnished and wont for a long time ![]()

so once again you mention that armor wearing TK have no honor...that only because your already a master?
What did you do to get there?
use an alternate like pistol health shot or another weapon dot shot?
news for you...I dropped every weapon to become a TK I don't have the ability to do pool damage... and I feal that relying on weapons is dishonerable.... if I need to wear armor to make it to my goal without being seen as a TK then so be it....
A wise man once said, to become a master, one must use his most leathal weapon.....
I use my most leathal weapon to stay alive, and it tells me to cover up untill I am ready to face my enemies unshielded....
in case some of you still don't know what that weapon is then your not using the right weapon
in that case a mind is a terrible thing to waste
For your information I'm no way near Master, in fact I'm just a Teras Kasi Student, and I only use my bare hands and feet by the way.
