Ok then maybe you just do a kata when you PB or something.
It is an art yes.
My view on it:
Have a large pool of animations to draw from... the best ones being useable at master level only.
Make them use action, bigger stuff needing more action to perform the trick. Thus limiting us to the length of what we can do... forcing creativity (assuming no buffs).
No to healing BF, we are already very self suffieient, and the basis of the game is the required interaction with others, BF is one of the few things we can't take care of purely as TK. Giving it to all the brawlers wouldn't change this, (/sigh and it would just make the shooters mad) even if I do agree with you in the philosophy of it.
The bad news:
Even after over a year, the game is still in no shape for such spit and polish improvements. There are still existing problems in the core game that have been around since launch. And SOE is constantly wasting DEV resources on stupid stuff rather than fix the game, so alot of old-timers are leaving the game. It will be awahile (maybe never) before SOE can add additional features like this. :/

I'd love to see some type of Kata for the ranged weapons as well, but I can't help but think it would look horrible....
Ranged weapon kata?
Umm, sit on the hood of a speeder drinking jawa beer and shooting durnis?
has anyone ever seen the movie "Equilibrium?"
The premise of the movie is in the future, all emotion is outlawed, and anything that causes emotion illegal. (Art, music, drama..etc) To control this, there was a special breed of police officers called the "Grammaton Cleric." Trained from birth to combat emotion and illegal goods everywhere. Anywho... the clerics learn something called the "gun kata" In this time period, it supposedly was based on scientific research, and increased the shooters accuracy like 120% (:smileyvery-happy
as well as decreasing their ability to be hit with a bullet by 90%. Basically, anyone who mastered gun katas was pretty much unstoppable.
It's a decent sci-fi movie, that slipped under people's radar because it came out about the same time as the Matrix. Stars Christian Bale and Taye Diggs
