Thread: Patch to go live by the end of the week
Uhmm...why are people posting POSITIVE things!? That just ISN'T done on the boards! LOL.
Some great points were made about the positive things of this profession, namely the fact that we are a melee class. You have to use strategy to get in close to the opposition.
-Disguises (Novice Scout/Medic, and a CDEF Pistol in your hand)
-Tactics (Fodder, stay behind others until the right moment or use pets, and do not Lunge or Knockdown until AFTER you see that the enemy is standing up from prone/kneeling to run away)
-Coordinate (If you are in a group with other shooters, remember that every time someone shoots at you, your team mates are not getting shot at, I.E. its hard for a shooter to focus on your partner when you are raining blows down on their face)
The list can go on and on. And as the game changes so will tactics. When you see an overt Imp walking around you can bet he is about ready to whip out an AT-ST. All you do is secretly gather a group of Rebels with the SOLE PURPOSE of destroying the AT-ST (I.E. find a Commando). Even if you die you wound the griefer and send him packing to go pick up 1-3 more. Victory isn't always about who's left standing. Attrition my friends...
I think the problem some have is they somehow expect ranged players to stand still, or to have some ability to make them stand still until we beat them to death...no such luck guys. 
Oh, and definitely Kudos to the Devs for the animation of the melee classes. Ranged players get jipped when it comes to attack animations, while I look forward to every ability I get so I can see the new animation. I like to Unarmed Spin2 and Unarmed Combo 2 just for fun.
Not only that, like many others drawn to the TK class, I come from a heavy martial arts background. And I was seriously freaking out when I saw that the Knockdown1 manuever was straight up from the 8 Classic Tai Chi postures. I can't wait for Knockdown2, Unarmed3, and MindShot.
kd 2 is an over the head swing.
unarmed head hit is a punching bag hit that looks like it hits 10-15 times.
unarmed hit 3 is nothing short of frikking awesome.
Me too! I love being TKA.. I just love the feeling that I am beating the guy and not my weapon!
