Most of the people that are debating are the ones that never read the books.

How exactly does that prove anything? all it says is that Darth Maul learned TK. As did Mace Windu and I believe a few other Jedi. All that means is that the Style existed at large. However there are Many sources from Lucas licensed products that lean toward TK being more than just a form of martial arts. Please explain how this "proves" that TK is not an order.

You know you throw the word canon out there like it means something. Every month they change what is and is not canon. The fact is there ARE LUCAS LICENSED PRODUCTS that state TKA is an Order. And that they are Watchers. Canon is highly subjective. At different points mediums have been added and taken from the list of canon. As far as I am concerned if Lucas licensed it then he gave his okay on it, hence meaning it applies to the overall universe.

wrong, "canon" is a carefully defined set of materials when applying this word to Star Wars

The following is a quote from Sue Rostini, who is, or was a high level employee of Lucasarts:

"Canon refers to an authoritative list of books that the Lucas Licensing editors consider an authentic part of the official Star Wars history. Our goal is to present a continuous and unified history of the Star Wars galaxy, insofar as that history does not conflict with, or undermine the meaning of Mr. Lucas's Star Wars saga of films and screenplays. Things that Lucas Licensing does not consider official parts of the continuous Star Wars history show an Infinities logo or are contained in Star Wars Tales. Everything else is considered canon"

notice the first sentence. Tabletop RPGs or other games which portray teras kasi as an Order or whatever do not fall under the category of canon.

Ok go to Starwars.com one of the top dogs from lucas states when asked about canon that the only TRUE canon is what George HIMSELF tells them. That they constantly revise what they accept as canon based on george's approval. I just crashed my hard drive a week ago or I could give you the link.

The best researched thing I've ever seen on Star Wars canon is here: http://www.st-v-sw.net/STSWCanon2.html
