I also have a good method for powerleveling. After hitting Novice TKA, a friend told me to kill savage quenkers. grouped with a bot/pet they give 4k+ exp to me, and anywhere from 4-8 full size ones come out of a lair. their HAM is also very low, should be able to take a lair in 10 minutes with novice or higher. this is on dant, and i agree with getting armor and buffs from mining outpost.

yes. the full value VK's make a world of difference. plus, for some odd reason, you are faster when you use them than when bare handed (thus the reason many will use the VK's before Novice TK despite not getting any real power bonus).

Ok. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.....but bleeds wont be thios way for long.

Today on TC, we got the new patch to start testing. One of the combat changes is that now bleeds register as xp for their respective damage. Also, you can no longer stack dots of the same kind. For example, you can stack mind shot and health shot, but not health shot 1 and health shot 2. This was done for several reasons. 1, they wantedto goet the commando burn down, and the only way of doing it was to nerf every Dot (even CM poisons are afected by this!). 2, people who used a bleed were losing looting rights to random people who would run up and finish the mob, which had just bleed for 8k + damage, giving them full xp for the kill.

We are testing this new system now. Good luck all!

man i just cant imagine how long it must have taken you to kill a 5k HAM mob without VK's...

i figured they would kill your mind before you killed them.

On the Subject of Armor. I am a Mstr Armorsmith and when I TKA I run around with High Kinetic Ubese Armor on. Why? Well for one thing the HAM costs to do speacials is lower than that of Adv. or Reg Composite thus more speacials. Secondly Price. You can pay 200-300k depending on your server for Composite Regular and 300-500k for Adv Comp. This is pretty steep in the pocket book. When you think about it all your going to be doing with the armor is more or less PVE which deals in kinetic damage for the most part. Thus the armor to get is somthing that has a High Resist to Kinetic but lower to average resist to a few other areas. Ubese fits this, You can get 70% Adv Ubese Kinetic armor for maybe 120k on your server compared to Composite. I usually make 50% Resist to Kinetic on my server CHilastra for 90K. Really depends on what you wanna do with the Armor your going to purchase.

Great post. I used this same system fairly recently to blow through marksman and brawler after my silent holo. I'm working on TKA now for that same reason, and really enjoying the defense mods. Heavy Sword is my first love, but I'm really hoping TKA unlocks, because I love the combination and I'd like that final template. My usual targets on Endor are Mature Hanadak Rock Smashers and, if I'm really lucky, natural lairs of Gurreck Hilltop Hunters. With a pet grouped I normally pick up 4k xp per kill for each of those creatures, and both swarm nicely, which is nice. One final thing I'd add...fishak, fishak, fishak. Find a good chef and keep a crate of it on you. My helmet is advanced composite (80% kinetic), but 5 hanadaks or hilltop hunters can still make things interesting. Always nice to have a 500+ mind pool heal available.

Yes, I agree Endor is a TKA heaven. Thanks for the info on Gurrecks, I will try these when I am next on. I picked up TKA a week ago and have been out on Endor ever since. The exp rolls in. I have no Medic skills but even so am able to hunt almost anything out there. I wear 70% Ubese but do have 80% Composite. The main differences I've noticed are that the comp effectiveness resists are much much higher than the Ubese. For example my comp as 65% resists to almost everything other than Kinetic while my Ubese has barely 20%. Even so I like the Ubese cause I can wear the full suit unbuffed and with Food/Spice and Powerboost I can hunt solo. Normally I just run around and kill anything I think I can take but I think I'll give gurrecks a try.

Does this still work the same after the new patch? Any changes? I just now started my climb to Novice TKA .. will be working on this tomorrow. Is this still a good/quick way to level on up the tree?

I have noticed that post-patch, bleeds are actually doing damage, though DoT still stacks. For instance, I was trying to bleed something the other day and I noticed that the shots to apply the bleed were actually doing damage (this occured while using the Launcher Pistol and later the DX2). This lowers your unarmed xp slightly and gives you some xp from the appropriate areas (in my case, Heavy Weapons and then Pistol). The technique still works for the most part, however.

PS- Just got TKA Novice yesterday, after figuring out a great way to level from unarmed 4 to novice, and I must say, you get exponentially better after learning Novice. This is the most noticable difference between skill level I have noticed so far.

Rancorland, pretty much west of sarlacc on Dath. Get at least 3 people and go to town with the proper buffs of course. Get em fightin eachother and you may only have to worry about your mind being taken by high ham on vk's. Yesterday was 2243 now im 4344, quite frankly it just got too late to go any further.

This and if you have a MCM in your guild you will have a lot of bile for him/her.
