Thread: Tka made into a elite profession...

So you mastered it that often and still don't know how to play it?
TKA is fine as it is.
It does have some small issues but overall it's all good.
Same for elder. And aclay. Just took some time, a rifleman/commando easily outdamaged me (krayt template)
I'd say, give TK some weapons so they can damage (yes damage) but not solo. When a butterfly has as high resistance to kinetic things are just wrong.
I know this will not happen now, I just hope the combat balance will bring kinetic resistances down, and everything will be fine again

TK is one of the few professions that DOESN'T need to be fixed, changed or tweaked.
While I disagree with Trucho-G, I do not exactly agree with this statement either. We do have some issues that need to be addressed, but we are also probably the best working combative profession in the game at the moment.
Fair enough, TK is the last profession that i've come to. That said, i'm also a master pistoleer / master smuggler on that character ... which of the 3 do you think needs more love??
On my other character i've played with several professions, from musician and medic in support to carbineer with a little rifle in combat ... nothing has been as fun, powerful and cool to watch as TK. Given infinite time on the part of dev's maybe TK should get some improvements, living in a finite world though, TK is pretty sweet the way it is, especially in comparison to other professions.
Also, most of the complaining, this thread included, assume that TK should be able to take on all comers. A naive position especially considering the skill points left after mastering TK. There are other combat options that can be combined with TK to give a character the depth that Trucho is proposing without tying up dev resources that can be better spent improving the game for everyone. I really like TK, i've found it the most powerful and fun combat profession i've tried even with the kinetic only limitation. That i've used my remaining skill points to offset this deficit by taking up pistoleer would obviously influence my opinion and my responces.

Smuggler, hands down

I agree completely with the sentiment of adding professions to support your main, and I want to make sure that no matter what is done TK alone is balanced against the other professions. I just feel there is still some room for improvement also
