So you mastered it that often and still don't know how to play it?

TKA is fine as it is.
It does have some small issues but overall it's all good.

As a former swordsman/doc I soloed canyon krayts with a juvenile attacking me at the same time. I also soloed ancients with a bit tathikillo or whatever the name was.
Same for elder. And aclay. Just took some time, a rifleman/commando easily outdamaged me (krayt template)

I'd say, give TK some weapons so they can damage (yes damage) but not solo. When a butterfly has as high resistance to kinetic things are just wrong.
I know this will not happen now, I just hope the combat balance will bring kinetic resistances down, and everything will be fine again

TK is one of the few professions that DOESN'T need to be fixed, changed or tweaked.

While I disagree with Trucho-G, I do not exactly agree with this statement either. We do have some issues that need to be addressed, but we are also probably the best working combative profession in the game at the moment.

Fair enough, TK is the last profession that i've come to. That said, i'm also a master pistoleer / master smuggler on that character ... which of the 3 do you think needs more love?? On my other character i've played with several professions, from musician and medic in support to carbineer with a little rifle in combat ... nothing has been as fun, powerful and cool to watch as TK. Given infinite time on the part of dev's maybe TK should get some improvements, living in a finite world though, TK is pretty sweet the way it is, especially in comparison to other professions.

Also, most of the complaining, this thread included, assume that TK should be able to take on all comers. A naive position especially considering the skill points left after mastering TK. There are other combat options that can be combined with TK to give a character the depth that Trucho is proposing without tying up dev resources that can be better spent improving the game for everyone. I really like TK, i've found it the most powerful and fun combat profession i've tried even with the kinetic only limitation. That i've used my remaining skill points to offset this deficit by taking up pistoleer would obviously influence my opinion and my responces.

I agree completely with the sentiment of adding professions to support your main, and I want to make sure that no matter what is done TK alone is balanced against the other professions. I just feel there is still some room for improvement also

No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.

I agree Teras Kasi needs a little work. Having been a TKM/Doctor for most of my time playing (since shortly after launch...) I would say TK doesn't need as many fixes as other prof's. We're "working" compared to everyone else just about.

To those who say... Bounty Hunter/Pistoleer always wins against TKM... well they haven't fought me then.

Teras Kasi Is no good for PvE.. well 2 corvette badges say otherwise.

Listen, Teras Kasi is a great class. By itself it is not the end-game nor should it be. You need to augment yourself with additional professions like everyone else in the game. Bounty Hunters alone have problems, stack Rifleman, Carbineer, or Pistoleer with Bounty Hunter you are now viable in PvE and PvP. Why should we be any different. TKM is as close as you'll get to a single prof viable in PvP but you need to play wisely and add some additional skills.

I love my TKM/Doc. It allows me to play every aspect of the game from PvP to PvE.

If changes need to be made to our profession I believe that adding an additional attainable damage type is neccesary. Create a small themepark of about 10 missions that only TKM's can enter. 10 NPC missions that eventually lead to your recieving of a new vibroknuckler that is untradeable and unable to be sold. Through a badge in there too and viola!

I don't believe that reinventing the wheel with TK is going to do us any good. You'll see the NERF cries start up again until the Dev's /unarmedKnockDown2 us into oblivion. TK is pretty good, we just need them to fix some of our specials, give us an additional damage type, and call it a day.

Overcomplicating things has never worked in any MMORPG, not too mention... letting the Dev's run rampant with our profession could only lead to more bug's, more NERF's, and the possible loss of some of our more treasured abilities.

Just my 2 cred's...

There is no peace, there is anger.
There is no fear, there is power.
There is no death, there is immortality.
There is no weakness, there is the Dark Side. I am the Heart of Darkness.
I know no fear, but rather I instil it in my enemies. I am the destroyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.
All the Universe bows before me, I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life, in the death of the light.
