Thread: KD as intended? Looking for more info...

IMO, I would rather take the HAM cost for a KD, then to take 10 sec. of beating from a creature. Even blues are hitting me for 60-90 now. I still use KD in the exact same method as I did before the patch, now all I notice is that I have to heal during the fight if one misses, which isn't a big deal because I'm omw to becoming a doctor. This is of course unequipping VK's to use the skill.

I think a lot of people are overexaggerating when they say they can only KD 3 times a fight before they are incapped...if it's because they are using it with VK's still equipped... then you deserve to be incapped lol. I accidentally did a KD without unequipping VK's and it hurt (-710 HAM), that shocked me into making sure I click the right buttons before hitting KD...

I still love KD. I know I am just a low TKA and no one cares what I think about KD... but I think it hasn't broken our back!

LOL....I always unequip my vk's, always have. Nothing new.

When Im in a group, who do you think its getting the most damage, me, im up front.

Between the ham cost and getting 90% of the damage, I get eaten alive.

Agree. If we have to take a HAM hit this high for it they need to go back and undo a previous KD nerf....make it 100% to hit again, otherwise give me my HAM back

You should be woried abotu the vision of the dev's because so far the only thing they have showed us that their thick skulled, bull headed, and prideful. You know even if they do return kd and tks's back to their former state i still think i'm gonna cancel. It's just not worth the headaches, it almost feels lke i'm sponsoring a unpredictable crak head every month.

Has there been a DEV comment on this yet?

Still looking for more info about what the DEV team thinks about this issue, if anyone has threads that have such comments, please list them.

Has there been some type of DEV acknowlagment of these (the list of TKA) issues yet? I haven't seem anything on the DEV tracker, but I know sometimes it does not track correctly.

If anyone had a thread that at least comments on a TKA issue, please post it in here for me.

I also get a very much deja vu feeling from the devs. I also played that previous SOE game

and I heard some disturbingly familiar responses in its first 2 years such as "its working as intended". Boy, how many times did I hear that one. It became a running joke in my guild. It seemed the "excuse" for anything that seemed wrong or unbalanced with the game. Now Im hearing it again and I cant help but wonder if its the same **edit** person writing the speeches.

Oh yeah in that previous SOE game *cough*EQ*cough*, they would ninja nerf stuff all the time. Also they NEVER EVER told you about it ahead of time. Im just hoping that they learned from Mythic's F'ups and choose NOT to listen to the "crybabys" from one class complaining about another class. Personally that absolutley destroyed that game for alot of people.

Ok, I have read some of the discussion on these issues, and have been left with a somewhat uncertain feeling.

Holo has basically said that there are a number of classes that are WAY OVERPOWERED. Which means to me that there are quite a bit of nerfs in the mix.

Great.

So if I am to understand that correctly, that means when everything is all "balanced" then the days of SOLO fun are over.

I guess the real poblem is that I was having fun when I should not have been. If I would have just started with everything the way they want it, then I would never have missed the FUN that I had in the past.

Fine, whatever.

It comes back to the problem, we arn't allowed to have fun the way we want to, we only get to have THIER fun.

I guess we just get to see how everything ends up.

I didn't want to ever put anything like this in here, but since I am going to have to be forced to group whenever I want to got out and explore fron now on, why should I play this anymore?

Whatever, I'm so dissapointed in the direction things seem to be going now, I'm not even making sense. We will just have to see how things look in 2 months. Since I already paid untill then, I will have more options avalilble at that time.

I think SOE/Verant needs to reevaluate the methods they use to balance the game...

When I log on and there is yet -another- nerf, I can't help but think of what Maslow said. Maybe it's time to call in professional help?

I'll share this one too, since we are sharing our feelings... (does the group hug)

having to take off all your gear to do a special is stupid no matter how you look at it.

Having to conform to play is just as ignorant.

KD was fun. KD was money in SOEs pockets

Nerfing is not it sucks
