I think you misunderstand. The speed cap is 1 attack per second. On some moves it is higher because of cooldown times. Therefore if your weapon is 1.00 mod speed you have reached the cap and it will do you no good to go any lower. There is a detailed test and explanation on the pistoleer forums.

I'm at 130 unarmed speed and I hit rather fast without addrenal buff, usually every 2 seconds, and I prefer the Katarn over the Necrosis, I destroyed the Necrosis to get the ADK back to put on the Katarn after noticing the Katarn does about 200+ points higher damage and I use a SAC pup on it in PVP and a damage pup in PVE.

is that y im at .60 and am hittin faster then i was at 1.00

QFE. don't talk to me about what you don't know. I've tested this extensively on my own, I don't need you to tell me that there is a 1 second speed cap on what I know thereisn't.if thats the case, why is it when I have a .7 speed, and I attack, and then I get an adrenal, I attack faster? woot some cap that must be. congratulations.

Xtvr, i am on lowca, ive played with you lol we did DWB.
YES speed is good, not saying its not, but Max dmg is better. Lets say you hit for 100 dmg every second (just making stuff up for the sake of argument)i hit for 1000 evrey 10 seconds, i use a skill that multiplys dmg by 2, i do 2k dmg in 10 seconds. thats 200 dmg per second. You do 100 everysecond, with a skill thats cooldown is anything more then 1 second, your doing less dmg.

^ Yep. I remember you. And like I keep saying lol. I been a tkm for as long as I can remember...... and even post-cu speed > damage. what you're telling me (sake of argument) is that a tkm/mswords/4000 doc will beat a tkm/mswords/4000 doc (1 using kk, 1 using a hammer) both having an uber weapon. and TBH thats just not true. I destroy swordsman. Damage isn't as much as everybody tries to make it out to be. It seriously gets to the point in the MO, where I just sit there and offer 100k to any non-jedi that beats me........... and people have stopped trying. The ONLY person to beat me in probably the past 2-3 weeks (aside from my bugged final round of the tourny) was Aleris [MBH/MCM](who, mind you. REFUSED to fight me without an adrenal boost) I guarantee she has higher damage output. She's a smart PvPer, who knows speed is important. Without that adrenal boost, she would not have won. higher damage or not. So in conclusion Speed > Damage. always will be.

Compair though, the slowness of that hammer probibly up at like 2 speed, and your katarn thats down at what did you say? a uber like .77? well his dmg is probibly only 300 higher then yours, IF that.. your speed rapes his, its the diffrence of the stats the two weapons arnt equal, when lowcas back up ill try to get a KK and duel for fun, ill get mine dmg sliced.

from what I'm reading it sounds like TK is completely different from all other professions when it comes to speed. In all ranged professions (which I have always chosen. Been master pistoleer for well over a year) there is a 1 second speed cap. It's been confirmed in every forum. Tell me what attacks you're using and I'll look into it. I do alot of testing, and I'd like to see why Tk is different from the ranged testing I've done. My pistoleer is capped on attachments and has the most ranged speed possible in this game and I CANNOT hit for more than once per second even with a speed capped (1.73 spd) weapon unless I am using ranged shot or quickdraw (and quickdraw is only about .01 of a second from one attack per second, all it does is effectively always attack before your opponent, but you don't get extra turns in when fighting another speed capped person).

ok so ur telling me that as a Msword i was hittin 1.3k ever 3 seconds with AB and a PH usin crit hit BUT when i equip my unsliced katarn i hit 1.1k with AB usin crit hit ever 1 second. therefor im hittin u 2.2k by the time ur able to hit me for 1.3k (this is dmg ive recently donne to a mob mind u)
with an adrenalin boost ill hit ever .5 seconds for 1.1k were u hit ever 2.5 seconds for 1.3k. in this u can easly see that speed allows u to put ur opponent on the defensive thus insuring ur win because they have to concentrate on healing rather then dealing the dmg to u
