I just hit unarmed4 myself. I was originally training up rifleman but got sick of the 2.5x melee penalty.
Of all the pvp I've done and rebels stomped, the ONLY people who have actually killed me were TKAs.
Want to show a ranged profession what its like to be kited? Run OUT of their range, and send a pet after them. If they stop to fight the pet charge them

Imagine getting beat in a duel by a little twilek dancing girl.
I'd pay for that!!!.... ummmm... did I say that out loud? 
Hehe, yeah, I'd prolly use something inconspicuous like Master Dancer if I could afford the points, but I'm all pointed out. Novice Marksmens prolly the best I can do, hehe
