Thread: I was super uber before CU now I am quiting after CU

I sure didnt feel that " supper uber " going up against anything decent in the game, which all has 80% Kenetic resist. Or in some cases 100% ! And I sure didnt feel that super uber in PVP with everyone wearing 80% kenetic composite.

They took away my I win button, OH NOES! IM QUITING!


People are so stupid, anyone with 1/4 a brain can figure out something is wrong with a mmo where you can solo a creature like a krayt.

- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else.

Why not ?? In the storyline TK's were feared and respected by Jedi. Tuskan raiders are primative sand monkey tribesman. In episode 2 Anakin totally whipes out an entire Tuskan camp. SO it stands to reason a Master Teras Kasi would totally be unstopable against Tuskans.

Untill a Tuskan Which Doctor with 100% kin resists shows up lol.

Okay...
First of all, I disagree with this threads author inasmuch that he is taking a very simplistic point of view. Everyone who dislikes the CU isn't some teenager who will miss the "I win" button. Infact, I am finding that most of the so called "whining" posts, are intelligent, well thought out, bonafide concerns.

I have been a TKM/MTailor likely, longer than most of you have even been playing this game, but that's not relevent. I respect everyone's view equally, regardless of game tenure. I enjoy the role playing side of TKM and agree that TKM's shouldn't be armor wearers. It simply goes against the "mystique" that is supposed to surround the profession. I enjoyed being the fastest melee and the specials that only a TKM could earn.

With that said, on TC4, my TKM comes out as a level 56. I cannot respec any skills because those that aren't TKM pre-req's, are tied up in crafting. It is no great secret that no one will want a level 56 in their group. My Health is NOT 3k+ so I cannot sufficiently "tank". The speed of the profession along with most of the unique specials are gone. In a word, the template that I have enjoyed for almost 2 years, is now permanently non competetive. On live, I can't solo Krayts or NS Elders because I am not a DEF Stacker, but that was perfectly fine with me. I am/was a single combat elite and could still hold my own in any environmental PvE. Now, I cannot even kill a level 52 Gurk. It out-speeds me, hitting me 2-3 times as often as I hit it. My damage being determined by my LEVEL and NOT my skill is also counter-intuitive. Sorry, but I cannot "re-roll" for reasons I stated.

My conclusion is simple. Given all things considered, I do not like the CU because I cannot group because no one wants a Level 56, non tanking, low damage dealing TKM and I can no longer solo. Would anyone here continue to pay for a game that has so radically altered YOUR gaming experience? I am too old and too long vested in this game (20 months) to "re-grind" a new template just so people will want to group with me. At the same time, I shouldn't BE FORCED to abandon my long known Tailoring/BE clothing business, just so I can solo PvE. To the thread author, would you call THIS a "whine over not having an I win button"? This is EXACTLY my point.... i think the mainstay of TKM's understand that there are things out there that we can't kill solo.. NS Elders, Krayts.. even Mokk Rocksmashers.. BUT that doesnt mean that we don't want to go out and take on the more mundane thinks for laughs.. FS xp.. or just plain old hard cash..


This leveling system is gonna force people to drop what they love.. which is totally unfair.. i would go so far as to say Dictatorial...


Just to reiterate.. i do not want to kill Krayts on my own.. if i did i would be a Master Sword Master Doc... I love TKM for what it is.. a damn cool looking Tank and all round kick butt person... i want to be able to play in a group and play solo and i want to be able to have a sensible FS grind time.. post-CU i don't feel confident that any of this will happen..


I get that there is a whole new kettle of fish for me after the FS.. but that is another story

Yeah, they have made stacking of combat professions required. In the new system you have to be a pure combat template to hunt, espically as a tank profession. Mix in some crafter or entertainer and you have less health, less attack accuracy, less attack speed, less defences, less special attacks and most importantly a lower combat level. I didn't mind that as a mixed entertainer/combat template that in the current system I wasn't as good as a pure combat template but I wasn't this badin comparason, I could do well and compete. Now if I wanted to be able to do both playstylesI'd need to start on a second server or get a second account ...

Or go tk and swords, have best of both worlds. The goal of the CU may have been forced-grouping, but I don't see that really happening unless the people are inclined to group to begin with. I know personally, I hate totally random group invites or even more annoying is the random group invite followed by the begging "please join my guild/city".
