Thread: Wait, a TKM can't take a Fencer now?
CoB works and does not go away when you use a special. The difference between our CoB and the other melee professions' versions of it are the mods. If you do the math, defensive acuity has a lower modifier than the mods that the other three melee professions get to their dodge/block/counterattack. Also the efficacy mod for the unarmed CoB that TKA's get is also lower than the ones that the other three professions receive.
All of this was done I am sure to balance the extra melee toughness and the ability to self-buff with power boost.
So as a TKA you get hit more, but in theory you are able to take those hits better than the other 3 professions. Granted, in PvP I would rather not take a hit than suffer less damage from it, but oh well... 
In practice, against serious opponents we face in both PvE and PvP, CoB is currently non-functional. Doesn't mean it's not working as intended as we don't know what's intended.. Perhaps it was intended to be non-functional, you know, because TKA's are so overpowered

There are not that many Fencers on Tarq..but I've dueled all of them and won! But yes friend of mine
Otik Sandath he is a Master Fencer I've seen him beat up alot of TKM except me.
so Fencers can beat TKM !!
Im 100% pure Blademaster, no added deffensive skills to boost my template ( I have tried Pistoleer ). I beet 2 TKM at the chrystal caves while waiting for a spawn.
They were both humble and polite and grateful for the challenge..A Fencer certainly doesnt need to add pistoleer to be competant in battle..
I used warcry,Intimidate, dual blind and COB to win. If Pistoleer dodge is truly stacking as you say, then a cap needs to be added if it isnt already in place..
I never noticed enough difference with it to warrant the points spent...

The title is a whine imo. Again- a TKM complaining that he's unable to beat ANY combatprofession, especially one that is supposed to be one of the better combat professions in the game, is imo, a whine.
You aren't supposed to win every duel. You were initially because Fencer was, next to Droid Engineer and Pikeman perhaps, one of the most broken classes in the game.
Now we're fixed, and working as we were intended to work. Make room and get used to getting beat now and then.
