This is Star Wars not the Wu Tang clan

TKA is well defined in the EU. Why can't we just follow that?

No it is not Wu Tang or for that matter Wu Tang clan. I dont know how you draw the association of my opinion to those two but whatever right?

In any case, the TKA class is mentioned and even to some degree, explained in the star wars expanded universe as a bunduki martial art. i have a thread which explores into the history and culture of the tka. With all research confined to cannon material, i must say not alot can be found on thesubject except what is explained in the official enclyopedia and shadows of the empire where the art is mentioned to be practised by two hired assassins, the pike sisters. I still am searching for more information on our class but i keep finding the same thing. Yes there is alot about the class with regards to RP pen and paper SW but thats not counted or so im told.

What ever it is, the original poster asks what we feel captures the spirit of TKA and so i posted what i felt. The real question you should ask is, what is the way of Bushido and the teachings of Shaolin Temple?

that post can be found here

but my initial research was web based so i found alot of non cannon stuff. later on however and thanks to directions provided by The Veginator, i managed to get more concrete stuff out but even that didnt really explain who we are really. To date, im still stumped. there is nothing that really defines the history, culture or the beginnings of the martial art.

To me Teras Kasi seems more like the Star Wars version of Dune's Prana-bindu weirding way martial arts that the Bene Gesserit used.

I see TKA as a much more powerful and enlighted version of Cane from Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.

Everyone is right actually in my mind.

Teras Kasi is a tool, just like the force. Some people use that tool to reach spiritual enlightenment, some people use itsolely as a weapon of war, some find a happy medium and use it as a spiritual enlightenment found through the art of war.

The one thing that we all have in common is the finely tuned abilities that have sharpened our senses, reflexes and bodies into deadly weapons to such a degree that weapons are no longer needed.

Teras Kasi is the substance, we are merely the containers.

this was more along the lines of how i felt about Teras Kasi

The Teras Kasi Artist is more eastern in philosophy than western. I don't see how Nietzche's idea of the overman fits.
