Heres the problem with Ternque's post. SOE, by putting a proffesion with the name "Teras Kasi" in it, has showed that they are using the materials relating to Teras Kasi. Teras Kasi were formed when a war between jedi destroyed their home world, and the people who lived on the homeworld decided to train their bodies and minds to BATTLE JEDI. TKM's created themselves to know the best way to keep jedi in check in case they got out of line. In fact, many sources say that Jedi FEARED a master of Teras Kasi in close range combat. While a jedi focuses on drawing the power of the force from all around him, therefor being able to use both the light and dark sides, a TKM uses the force that is within his own body.

Also...who says that the Teras Kasi have to be HIT by the lightsaber? If you've ever seen a martial artist in combat, you know that they try their hardest to not have contact with the weapons of their enemies, imagine throwing the force into the mix...and you've got a martial artist with some fast reflexes. And don't say "but jedi would just force throw them bla blah blah!" because Masters of the ancient art of teras kasi had a very peculiar resistance to the force...

Well the problem with your post is that I've taken a martial art called Aikido for seven years (off and on, lol). It is a martial art that is defensive in purpose and is based directly off sword techniques and Ju Jitsu. We train to flow and blend with an attack and neutralize it. I have trained several sword disarms myself, as I think the art excels at techniques for it. It would take a person incredible training and innate and natural ability to perform those kinds of moves effectively against even an adept swordsman without getting killed. Trying to disarm a Jedi by hand would be hit or miss even to the highest trained Teras Kasi master. Given Jedi reaction speed and foresight, it's almost impossible unless you can uncenter the Jedi's mindthrough some other means (naked pictures of Richard Simmons).

A Teras Kasi master could probably beat the stew out of an unarmed Jedi, I give you that point for sure, but a TKM is at a severe range disadvantage against a foe armed with a sword (lightsaber), and that accounts for alot.

The problem with your post is, that yet again you (and when I say you, I mean anyone who does this) are comparing the game to real life. Aikido (a real combat art) to Teras Kasi a made up Sci Fi combat art. A TKM can boost his health action and mind and meditate to heal wounds, poisen, disease and bleeding. This is clearly impossible in the real world.

I don't think any TKMs in this posts are saying that we should be able to take on an defeat a high level Jedi, however, we are stating what the profession's use was in the books. I can't really argue this point as I haven't read any of them . What I see this as from other people's posts is that several TKMs should at least challenge a Jedi, as the whole reason for the profession is to keep the rougue jedi in check.

So please remember, when trying to make points in your arguements, please don't compare in game stuff to RL stuff. It just doesn't translate.

I suggest you read the 6-24-04 punchlist....while i don't agree with it, it does have some interestingTK history.

Jedidrawn upon the force toblock laser attacks traveling at thespeed of light.........It's not a far stretch that a TKM could drawn upon thecenturies ofcombat development, mental and physical training to evadea lightsaber attack....

Doesn't Starwars history tellus the tera kasi order trains in techniques specifically developed to combat Jedi.....

Ok, the thing about getting limbs cut off...

Look, so by this logic, a swordsman could kill jedi? Since the swords (presumably) have coranite weave (whatever the hell it is), so they don't get cut up?

The other thing is, lightsabres have no mass. None. You can whip them about faster than any sword imaginable, because you're only really manipulating the handle.

Anyway, I think a tka *could* kill a jedi, but then, that's not saying much. So could a stormtrooper with a repeater rifle (don't argue. Triangular patern of polts, fired simultaneously at high speed. Can't all be deflected)
