I just wanted to jump over here for a moment to say a few things before I shift my focus back to other areas. Not long ago, I abandoned my Squad Leader, Creature Handler and Scout professions to switch over to a Commando/TKA combo. I was so upset then at the negligent butchering of those professions, I nearly quit the game. Until then I hadn't looked over the TKA professions, and what I saw was a like a drink of cool water in a barren desert. I was reallly refreshing.

I am a a long term martial arts student in the real world. I have studied Taekwondo, Aikido, MMA, the principles of Jeet Kune Do, and presently I am a formal student of Dojunim Ji Han Jae's Hapkido, and Moren Arnis. I have also been a life long academic student of the Bujinkan tradition of Ninjutus as taught by Soke Hatsumi to perpetuate the Diamond Thunderbolt Legacy of the warrior caste of Japan. I have put in my time.

I want to say, that the designers and any players that took part in the creation of this profession were 100% on track with it's concepts and progress (save for the xp scale it takes to be a "master"). I think you guys have done a fantastic job on this, and I was genuinely pleased to review it. I think the profession opens the door for possible future expansions along these lines, but I note that the lack of controversial threads on this board is testiment to the fine job completed here.

I really want to express my heartfelt thanks to those responsible for capturing the spirit of my treasured and cherished personal path. I think you have done justice to us in the real world, and i really do appreciate you. So my hat's off to you folks!

Just take a look at my profile and follow some of my posts and you'll see how critical I can be. I hope this will prove how much I really mean this compliment. Thank you.

I have but one response to this thread...

I agree with the origional correspondents post, the one quoted. Howveer after that I merely started feeling ~slimyer~ and ~slimyer~. Yes I know ignorance when I see it, I also know biased Arogence when I see it, trying to appeal to a particular group.

Last I checked it was correspondents job to ~unbiasedly~ (keyword here) collect the opinions of the posters to the particular area, which last I checked would include those whose opinion on things being over powered. Maybe you didn't intend it to be so, but the way you word the rest of your post displays a clear lack of objectivity. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, maybe you did. However that is how it comes off to me, and jsut seeing it from someone whos supposed to be the opposite...it's like watching a moderator be a hypocrit on forums, cencoring out anyhting incriminating against them. The poster you quoted had a mutch better idea when they stated "Without naming names, or even identifying exactly what type of negative post I am talking about,"
