According to the litriture the Teras Kasi are Force attuned, they aren't all naturally Force Sensitive as with the Jedi however they do have the ability to draw power from the aspect of the Force that dwells within their own bodies.

Stop with the oh i can hurt someone with 80% kinetic armour. shhhh, on chim at least which is only just starting to come into PvP land no one bothers with encumb slices anymore. Its all about efficiency, everyone is trying for 80% accross the board suits. We as TKA dont need a new damage type, we should under no circumstances get stun as that would be horribly unbalancing.

If you don't beleive me go and buy the Shadows of the Empire source book and play through Masters of Teras Kasi so you understand the biography of Arden Lynn. The fact though is that Teras Kasi is a relatively new aspect of the star wars universe, only two sources actually mention the order or the martial art but it was deemed a significant enough part for to be added into this game. Put simply, read up about TK before you make judgements on what is consideredgoing too far.

Tell me where in the Shadows Of The Empire book OR the Masters of Teras Kasi game it mentions anything about force sensitivity or being able to channel acid into your fists.

It doesn't say that, it also doesn't say that a Teras Kasi is able to meditate and channel their mental energy into their body to become stronger. What it does say is that Teras Kasi allows for limited force resistance, extention of your life span and draws it's power from an aspect of the Force within the persons body. There is also no mention of vibro-knucklers I might add. I'm saying that it's not a huge stretch to say, Ok... a Jedi can project Lightning through their control over the force, so it's not impossible for a Teras Kasi to be able to harness similar energy because they too draw their power from the Force. LikeI said, there has been only 3 known characters who practiced Teras Kasi so information is extremely limited. No one would have imagined that the Force would allow a Jedi master to turn themselves into a tree and live for thousands of years in that state, however it happened in Dark Empire. The point is you need to think of the potential rather than limit yourselves to only accepting what you have already seen. To quote something that Canderous said in KotOR, "knowing how the Force works I wouldn't be surprized to see Darth Malak fall from the sky into our laps."

Best way would be adding new loot component to VK which would cause it to do different damage, acid, electricity or energy. Some common damage type due the fact that stun vk would get half of the pvp community to here crying. Tka is already well rounded working profession and I don't want to see it ruined by asking more power than it should have.

I know that most of us want to have something to pursue after but it should be done correctly.

Masters of Teras Kasi isn't cannon.

In fact, there is nothing in the cannon literature that indicates that a teras kasi is force sensitive.

Did anyone actually prove that the TKA are "Force aware" or is everyone still reading that purely fictional pen and paper RPG manual? Channeling acid/fire/cold into our fists is a preposterous idea. Self-healing and power boost is notTHAT far out there, it's just extreme mental control over the body's metabolism. If we ask for this why don't we just ask for telekinesis while we're at it? That way we can explain the 15m knockdowns we can pull off

Don't forget the eye lasers that we can fire at 100m too. That's a must have.

ah yes.....the force and the teras kasi........

the force is everything around and in you....so he has a point

you should have to meditate for a certain ammount of time, THEN you could use something like /focouslightning. powerboost in rp stories is indcated by a red glow....so, /powerBoost, /focouslightning/fire/cold ect

my 2 cents

The premise that TKs are Force-sensitive is a bad one, even if alternate damage types is good. Aside from SWRPG, there are Zan and Zu Pike who were TKM from Shadows of the Empire, and Darth Maul in Shadow Hunter who at least practiced TK. If you go by the WotC SWRPG materials, there is no mention of TK being Force-anything. I don't have the SE Sourcebook (WEG) so I'd appreciate a verbatim quote.

Aside from the fact I don't believepracticing TK makes anyone Force-anything (resistent I might buy into), I certainly appreciate how you came up with your proposed solution.

Shoot lasers out of our eyes?! Maybe that should go on the Weaponsmith boards.

Makes perfect sense. If they clone people, do interstellar transport AND give Luke a bionacle hand then surely they can make ocular implants that can collect, focus, amplify and redirect incoming light into durasteel cutting laser beams!!!

Actually stated like that it doesn't sound that preposterious.

But ya, I mean if you look at what the TK are supposed to be, regardless of any Force sensitivity or what have you, it really doesn't seem like that much of a stretch to allow them to make little lightning bursts when they hit you.

The body is run on electrical energy. With powerboasting and Force of Will a TK alters his metabolism (as someone above said) or something to allow them to accomplish these feats. Now I'm not sure how they alter their metabolism (or whatever the mechanism is supposed to be) but if you give into the notion of this, than is giving a little shock of electricity when you puch really that much of a stretch?

Now I'm not saying this as an attempt to legitimize electric punches or what have you, but really, if you follow the logic, it isn't that outrageous of an idea.

lol Tal-N I cant believe you're pushing for more damage types for TK. I remember reading a post a while back, cant find it now about a dev response to why TK is limited to Kinetic and it was describde as being the "main weakness" of the profession since you can deal out so much damage so fast, the counter to that is being limited to one damage type. Do you seriousally think they're going to give TK stun damage? Could you imagine a TKM spamming unarmed hit 3 with stun dmg every second? Can you say overpowered?

lol, Unarmed Combat, = no weapons = fighting with your fists and feet, there's only one type of damage you can do like that, and it aint stun/cold/electricity/heat thats for sure. Contrary to what some crappy cheap Tekken ripoff fighting game and a SW RolePlaying guide might say, TKM are not Force-Sensitive, a Jedi's Force Lightning right now does Kinetic damage and you're asking for your fists to somehow do Electric? plz
