Geonosians, Mokks, Jantas, Rancor and some FS - Unarmored.
Enhhanced Klikniks, NS Protectors, Spellweavers, and other high level NS, Kimogila, Force Crystal Hunters, Imperial Inquisitor types - Armored
To make a blanket statement that you "never" wear armor probably means that you don't wear it most of the time.
I'm sure most NS can be taken un-armored, even more than one at a time, but if you don't grab them all standing there when you've got them, someone will come along and pick off the stragglers in your immediate area if you don't snag them. While wearing armor, four NS Protectors, plus underlings or three Force Crystal Hunters is the most I've taken on successfully at one time. Four Force Crystal Hunters can spell trouble, for me anyway, and then I have to split them up to finish them, but the armor I wear 99% of the time is PvE grinding armor and I don't use my best weapons.
I'm not a forum addict as you can see by my post count so this may be common knowledge, but it seems to me that I take a lot more damage if I spin, so I seldom use it on high level mobs where I'm outnumbered.
So, if you're soloing the Imperial Inquisitor un-armored, then this "newb" raises his hand. I wear armor, and yeah, it looks cool.

I do alot of PvE without my armor. But that might also be b/c as a Wookiee, im still not quite embracing this whole encumberance concept. The difference in the regen rates was a little hard for me to swallow after going unarmored for so long. So half the time, the wookiee armor that has come out so far (which is mediocre at best), sits collecting dust in my house.

Even though yopur right... you need to give them the right answer.
Or there is not point of posting.

I wear Ubese pants and bracers, as I like the look and I also wear an Ubese shirt (but that doesn't count as armour.) I have an Ubese Jacket hotbuttoned for if I need it, but the further up the TKA tree I'm getting, the less I'm wearing it and generally I only don it if I'm fighting multiple mobs. I hate mobs getting "free" damage on me...

I find that whan I'm buffed up and drink myself a +400 Brandy, I don't need armor for most hunting trips/leveling. Say I'm doing Piket plains walkers. I can take on 3 of them no sweat unarmored. In fact, when I do war armor my mind takesmore of a beating due to encumberance. I need to drink 2 brandys to counter the effects of encumb.
Of course when I hold aggro on a Krayt the armor gets put on

With PVE it is better without armor... When buffed and without encumberance specials don't cost anything, (and that is with VKs).. Health and mind regeneration is super fast without armor (usually can keep up with damage, this depends on stat migration and the quality of buffs)..
So, for PVE, no armor can be better UNLESS they are high kinetic resist (65% and higher).... Otherwise save the armor for PVP.
If you fight something with 80% kinetic resist, or higher,I usually just use inimidate and berzerk with stun, blind or knockdown every so often. (while wearing armor of course)

I usually don't wear armor. I don't solo much anymore and I always group with a doc. When fighting with my regular groupmates against Very Bad Things (or approaching things that might shoot me), I'll wear my armor at first, but usually I take it off as soon as I notice my HAM bars dropping while nothing is hitting me. If a mob turns on me I'll throw on my comp chest. I also have no guilty feelings when I feign death to let my groupmates get the mob's attention. It's less work than finding my armor. I'm that lazy.

Hunt PvE without buffs or armor. The last time I had armor had to be chitin bracers about 3 months after release. Haven't used armor since then.
