Thread: How many of you go un-armored?

Isvurx, armour is not asthetically pleasing (unless its compy worn by a twi'lek, and then they remind me of the Predator). It's also wildly impracticle for a matial artist to hop around in a "suit" of the stuff. I at least prefere to look good in my smooth balet of lethal moves...until I get shot in the head and go a$$ over t!ts, whch cramps my "stylee" somewhat, granted.

TO pull a smed. Jeez, those dev's pulled a smed on swg big time

I go unarmoured alot too, at first because i broke my armour

But now i kinda like it, it makes you feel like youve achieved something when you take on2-3 enraged rancs without armour heh (managed 6 at once the other night )

I would recommend any TKM that fights with armour always to give it a go

I wear armor whenever i can. I'll use Ubese for PvE, unless is higher end stuff then ill wear my composite. Why? Because if it loses too much condition, ill just make myself another suit. One of the perks of being an Armorsmith.

Unarmored here, but I do use some nice BE designed clothign for melee defense and better intimidation skills

I only wear an advanced bone armor chest peice and a pair of ubese bracers myself. They absorb around 50% of the hits I need and it allows me to havea low health bar and higher action because the torso is completely protected, the fact that the arms and legs are mainly uncovered doesn't matter as the action bar is so high anyway. This combination is ideal since it genuinely protects against the majority of hits while being low encumberance. On top of that it looks quite stylish in my opinion

I dont understand why anyone would go without armor, sure there are encumberance but with buffs it doesn't really make a difference.

I can't see any negative with wearing armor - and when fighting higher end mobs i dont really see how it would be possible to survive without armor.

I always fight buffed, so now that we finally got armor (wookiee) I wear it always, and usually a psg as well. Then again, to counter the poor class/race combo (meelee/wookiee) i've also taken up more melee classes to get the most out of my defensive mods possible for all around pve. I'm a TKM/Fencer/wrking on 2hs.

I'm my friends' favorite meatshield, so it's expected of me. it's nice being able to unequip those vks, close up the armor hole, and tank giant canyons with only 1-3 stims per krayt. eats up armor and psgs like crazy tho... but it's better than the old days of cloning, meditating, rebuffing, and repeating...all night long, hoping someone doesn't come along and ks your krayt/elder. (or the mob warps/poofs while you are on your way back)

The dev team would never allow any kind of imbalance so that one group of people would "cut swaths" through crowds of people.

Something jut came to mind, a minor change of subject. I purchased a PSG recently, a 'imperial prototype'. It had better stats than the one I had. Since buying it, I have worn it constantly. I have gone from 1-2-1-3 TK, to 2-3-3-4 with, so I've fought a lot. I checked the bugger last night, and it hasn't decayed AT ALL since i last checked, around 95%.

1. Is is working?

2. Should I see verbage in the combat window that the psg is stopping damage, like armor?

Maybe the imperial prototype is 'sell a worthless PSG to Rebels", hehe.

Actually it just occurred to me, maybe it only works for non rebels since it a in imperial design?

First time I did it (right before we got bumped up in damage long long ago) I never used armor. (wookiee so we didn't even have any) I didn't know about doc buffs either so heh heh I was a regular at the cloner. I found out about buffs while trying to get all the AP I needed to master TK and saw a guy making peoples feet glow. Meditate was my best friend in those days. Also I was a CH so I had rancors and Wrixes that took the agro for me.

I recently lost 3 million credits to a glitch the Dev's and the CSR's have told me too bad about so I've been hunting without armor for the last week or so, of course I've also been fighting unbuffed and I've only had the brandy to increase my mind. I've found it to a bit of a challange to take on several rancors at once but it is doable.

I never wear armor, but I will use buffs when I can find them. Most of the time, I just have Brandy and a Powerboost on my side.

I do have a couple of BE enhanced clothing itemsfor intimidation and knockdown defense as well.
