Thread: GRINDING SUCKS

I became a master doctor first, so I know all about the crafting grind. That being said...I would buff myself, grab some -32% mind cost powerup crates, and 5-6 VKs. Then me and my little Rock Beetle went to Dantooine.

Hunting the Piket Longhorn lairs (10k missions from the Dantooine Imperial Outpost) gave us a total of 9 piket longhorns. Getting them to agro on my RB gave me enough time to take out all 3 of them before they could incap him. Stun, blind, KD1(then2 when I got it), and UH2 spam would kill them quickly. I would switch to Health or Action hit if one bar got really low.

Each Piket Longhorn gave 4700xp. The Females gave 3600xp. The Rock Beetle can't take away any significant amount of this. I would sit down and rest between each spawn. The lair was worth almost 5k xp. Plus you can harvest their hides...Rangers need Dantooine Scaly Hide for their camo kits. I ended up with a 20k stack of DSH for sale.

As a result I mastered Balance, and the entire line of meditation, in under 36 hours. I just wish I had discovered these guys earlier...

This way may not work until you are at least at Power4. Until then I recommend Swamp Humbabas in the Agrilat Swamps or Corellia. If you can pull individual Savage Humbabas, they are good, too.

Good luck!

If you look at the whole point of playing as just moving up the ladder of skills then yes it is boring. I know I could get a ton of XP attacking the same type of mob over and over. I prefer to go to a planet and walk from one end to the other. I will attack just about everything I see. This is fun for me because there are a lot of terrain details the devs put in that are interesting to find and see.

It was boring in the beginning, but I put some new twists in it. I'd talk smack to torturs. Very funny and it net me 3k for tort bulls at a time and 2k for regular torturs. I had my pet grouped with me and I told them to stay while I fought. A lot of fun with the occasional group hunting pikets.

Greater Sludge Panthers give me around 3500xp each. I group with a pet but leave it way out of range so I get the group xp bonus, but dont lose xp by the pet attacking.

Sharnuff bulls give 4500xp solo. I can take 2-3 at a time. The problem with these 2 is they arent that easy for me to find them.
