The only ones who whine about KD/Dizzy are those professions and templates who don't have Combat Equilibrium. With CE, you stand up after the 2nd or 3rd try (if you try to /stand intelligently, rather than spamming it). You may still be dizzy, but you're standing again.

The problem isn't KD/Dizzy. The problem is those who don't prepare with adequate defenses. If you choose a template that does not have Combat Equilibrium plusses, that your choice. Fencer and TKA have Combat Equilibrium.

If they perhaps added it to the other melee classes, then that'd be very fair too.

Yes! Nerf! Nerf more! Nerf KD Dizzy AND Stun! Nerf it all! We need more Nerfs!

Please nerf us - Everyone knows that a TKM, even unbuffed, naked and prone can't be beaten! ROARRRR We Are Too Powerful! We can solo Deathstars! Darth and the Emperor are no match for us! In fact I heard of one TKM that single-handedly killed ALL the Nightsisters and Rancors on Dath, an all the Krayts on Tat in 15 minutes and that was without armor (of course - why would a TKM wear armor??). As it is now, anything that gets within 7 meters of us drops dead instantly of pure fright! Of Course! Nerf the Fright Hit 3!

ArclightX quoth:

Whatever!!!

I don't know who you've been fighting but no it isn't an overpowered move. Perhaps a little perspective is in order. Say for instance I'm buffed and patroling on Kor' vela and I come across the usual bunch of newb rebs farming who don't even notice me, fully overt, walking, not running, but walking towards them, they are unbuffed and a quarter to a third of their ham is black bar from having been killed by the npc's several times already, etc.. etc.. etc.. Then yes.. to this rabble KD2 by itself can almost incapp them in one hit and I'm sure it does seem rediculously overpowered to them.

Scenario #2, we are raiding a rebel city or an otherwise organized group of rebs who know and are prepared for a fight. KD2 becomes a good but only marginally effective move especially against certain professions, (fencer, pistoleer/smuggler, rifleman, any stacked template, any ranged prof. thats able to maintain a good distance from me because they know what they are doing, etc.. etc..). I've even been in a situation where I have successfully knocked down some one but they are wearing 80-90% composite and as wonderful as it is to be wailing away on them as they lie down on the ground, they are going to be up quite shortly and when they are I probably have only moved there ham a millimeter.

Don't call for an adjustment to KD2 just because ppl don't know how to fight, or don't know how to look around or check their radar while they are farming.

There's always at least one of these, the 78 post expert, who condescendingly explains why we are all cretins because we don't have the benefit of his vast experience.

First off, KD/Dizzy isn't the monopoly of TKs but, being the kickass PvP you are of course, you already knew that. Secondly, if you are spamming kinetic specials at a prone enemy in full composite, you arefive beers short of a sixpack. I presume you do know you have enough points left to master another profession that isn't bound by kinetic only? Thirdly, if you are in a prepared group and you are daft enough to restrict yourself to kinetic damage only, there will be others who aren't quite so short-sighted and can blast away at your prone opponent. You know, it's called 'Teamwork' or 'Strategy'.

Utess has come up with a 'compromise', you know, nobody's 'perfect' answer but a lot better than your uninformed rant about the weaknesses of KD/Dizzy and how, if we were as uber as you, we wouldn't give it a second thought.

Utess ISN'T suggesting nerfing KD/Dizzy, she is suggesting a way to keep the flopping fish in the game WHILST KD/Dizzied.

Do me a favour, point out in this thread where ANYBODY said, 'nerf KD/Dizzy'. Then, whenrealisation dawns, feel embarrassed, cough a few times to cover your retreat and sneak away somewhere to consider your 37th post more carefully.

I dont think it is even plossible I mean if I get knocked down my butt is gonna wanna get back up not fight. So I think it is fine the way it is. I mean personally when I fight some one I expect to win or loose. How I get there doesn't really matter. If my oponent KD/Dizzys me then good for him on landin the first sucessful KD on me. Cause sure as heck if it wasn't him it was gonna be me. Mind you this really only happens in PVP with people with ranged KD. In melee Unarmed3 is much more effective. But as I see this it is a nerf. And a nerf never solved anything just look at the defence stacking nerf.
