Well I did more hunting today without getting incapped once and when I deliberately tried to get myself killed for a free trip back to town it seemed like they fixed the timers so that there is a short delay between incap and db. However if you are still getting insta-db could you please post as I am not sure if that one time was just a fluke.

Well did some more hunting and when my buffs ran out I did the get killed for free trip home thing again and they are still doing the insta-db thing so I guess the other day was a fluke. Hope this gets fixed soon as it pretty much makes FOW useless.

This has happened to me twice the last 2 days. Once vs a NS Elder, i don't mind she does have HAM in the 300k's. The second vs Mokks, I wasn't paying attention to my ham and my action secondaries buffs ran out. I thought i was just incapped and try to FOW, nope. I scroll through the combat log and the same time is shown for the incap and the deathblow, same minute, second, and hour. I know I wasn't paying attention, but damn give me second or 2 to have a chance? This really sucks!
Please fix this devs.

I've noticed this too. I guess the AI is trying to be like riflemen with the DB before you hit the ground. (love sniper shot)

Yeah, it is instant now, no chance to use FoW on higher level things. I don't know if it was an unintended consequence or a deliberate nerf to TKA, but it ends up indeed being a nerf.
"you can't meditate while running" used to be the spam I hated most, but "you can't use force of will while dead" will be a real contender for that honor.

I usually do not use FoW that often unless the situation is pretty hairy for my squad but tried to fighting Night Sisters and got the cannot force of will while dead message. Normally I don't take issue with change but, damn, even hotkeyed I can't incapp and db in under a sec! Who ever our Correspondent is please let Devs know this makes things frustrating.

How high a level are the Mobs that are insta-dbing? Is it the insanely high level stuff(Nova Troopers, etc) or is it just anything above a certain level?(Rancors, NS, etc)
Does it happen all the time, or is it restricted to certain types of mobs?(NPCs or Creatures)
I'll pass it on for you, just need a bit more info if you don't mind

this has been happening to me too. but when my hams get low and it seems i'm going to go down i start spamming FOW. i usually manage to squeeze it in before the DB.

I think this was a result of their little fix to make higher end mobs db more often. I think that it happens with all red con aggro mobs. I usually hunt on Dath and have tested this while unbuffed and so far everything does the same from the higher end mobs like NS and rancors to even the bazs and kams.

i developed this little macro while trying to beat sniper shot in PVP...guess what. I did.
Sniper shot has 1 second after the riflemens last attack to hit you, because its another attack, what i created is a FOW macro that runs itself 45 times in 10 seconds and more or less beats ANYTHING trying to DB you. I'm betting it'll work for the new DB AI.

Hit that sucka about 3 seconds before you know you're going down. You recapacitate before you hit the ground or show animation. it just shows you stand up a bit. hehe

I haven't had this problem myself (because, you know, I'm way too cool to ever die to anything in PvE *gloats*) but people are reporting it happening on Mokks, Night Sisters of all sizes, and Geonosian Cave enhanced kwi's. So it just seems like maybe the advanced planet higher end normal creatures and Geo Cave critters. I'd love to test it, but it would break my perfect record.
