Blast take this for example.


You are alone in a dark alley, and all you have is a taser. (the one that shoots out the darts about 15-20 feet)


All of a sudden you are confronted by a moster dude that can bench 450lbs and is a world reknown kick boxing champ.


What are you going to do?


Nerf yourself so that he has a chance to kill you if you use your taser?


Or know that you can use your taser and run away from him while he lies there helpless?


Here is how to fix this (maybe)


In the example, the guy is hugh....and therefore he will naturally have some "resistance" to the taser. You might not of knocked him down, but he is slowed by the shock. He still has a chance to catch you. But you also "don't have another taser to use". You now have "distance" from him....and he is also "still able to attack".


See how this can work out? Kiting is not a bad strategy. But being able to indefinetly kite is bad.

FYI folks, what with most of the Devs heading off to E3 next week, I'm not really sure if we'll even get the chance to ask the questions next week at all.


Most likely we'll have to wait until they get back, since most of their effort and energy will be focused on providing a great showing at E3.


I did ask wether or not we'd get to the questions next week, but have yet to get a response. But, personally, I'm working under the assumption we won't be asking another question until the week of the 17th.

Ok why should you not be able to kite indefinately? as long as you have room to manuever you do so. If you are able to outmanuever your opponent then you should win that is a fundamental aspect of combat. And in RL the same holds true. If the monster dude had a bat and I had bare hands I would want to get in as close as possible to eliminate the advantage of momentum from the swing of the bat. However if I had a gun I would want to create as much distance as possible for as long as possible so as to avoid getting killed.

I should of elaborated some more on that....but you definetly got the point.


Replace taser with any ranged weapon that can do DoT damage or anything that can be used to kite. Make a long timer onkiting attacks and a small timer on the chance to burst run.This will help the tka at least to be able to catch up, while the kiter has a chance to still attack.


(yes tka can turn and run away, but what fun is that, we would never win a fight.see below about games)


Granted this isn't perfect, but it will help some. It will then rely more on tactics then burst running, and doing it again with the tka never being able to attack.


This is a game, not real life. Games are meant to be fun andto pass time. Games were not meant to be stressing because of people kiting and burst running away to do it all over again.

Kiting is not an issue. I can not believe that people are still crying about this. You have plenty of skill points left over.

I think #8 is a good question.

i also think #8 could link with the dojo. so we can kill 2 birds with one stone )

That's just my opinion.

Hopefully we can get a quest that only a TKM would be able to complete (how that would work, is beyond my relm of thinking)
