So pikets are on datooine? what lvl mission are they by chance? they sound like good hunting, Im a Doctor/TK but im only about 2 boxes up in each skill. I use armor with misxed resists but most are 66-76% kinetic and 80% special effect kineticfor the BP and Bracers. When do you think I could go hunt these?

Go level TKM on Testcenter... without buffs, without vk's, without other people to help you at all... no entertainers, no medics, armorsmiths etc..., hell NO to combat groups.....

I can guarentee you won't be leveling TKA in 2 - 4 days on Testcenter

Look at the anatomy of what goes into a 2 - 4 day TKM leveler.

Artisan - required to harvest resources such as metals, gases, chems. Must spend inordinate amount of time running around vast planets placing harvestors and hoping he has enough money to operate them

Armorsmith - Also requires artisan, but additionally to have good armor made will also require a Ranger in which to harvest the neccessary bone and hides. A ranger of course will need weapons made by a weaponsmith to harvest such hides.

Smuggler - Also requires artisan, & weaponsmith. This class provides muon gold which is often invaluable to power tka levelers. Not to mention "slicing" is a nice perk.

Weaponsmith - Also requires artisan, required to make trhose nice set of vk's we use to level thru unarmed up to power IV.

Doctor - Also requires artisan to some degree, or lots of credits to buy supplies. Will have to master at least 1 profession and most of the doctor profession in order to provide "uber" buffs.

Entertainers - to treat BF that will inevitably result.

So in short, it takes no less than6 different professions in order to provide enough materials to a TKA in which to "powerlevel". Do these professions make leveling tka easy? sure they do, they can make levelign any profession easy. TKA is not special in this regard.

But to say TKA is too easy.... well level the other 6 professions first, then lets talk about easy. I can bet you a noob that just started yesterday and decides to go TKA isn't going to have it easy.. all those 6 people above will require to be paid for they're services.......Unless your in a guild.... but that's not TKa specific.... nor are the advantages laid out to you by the above 6 professions.

Yes TKA can be easy to level.. but only if you'd played long enough to be able to prepare yourself to level so quickly... The fact remains it takes preparation and cooperation from other people to get there. And THAT... is exactly in the spirit of the game. This is the kinda of dynamic that needs to exist in the game where cooperation and playing with others gives improved rewards.

Get a set of Ubese around 70% or so. Then grab a set of doctor buffs, cost anywhere from 5k-7k. Head over to Bestine Tatoine, hunt Desert Eiopes, they give over 1k per kill and they are non social so you can fight them one at a time rather than the whole camp.

And that is why I dont sell buffs. I can spend a day gathering the Avian meat needed for our buffs, just to get 6K...or spend 10 mintes and run two piket longhorn missions and make 23K.

You do the math. I dont even use my Master Doctor title anymore. To many people begging for buffs...but unwilling to paya good price for them. Soon enough you will only be able to find Buff C's because the Master Docs are not wasting their time anymore.

w00t!!! My own little minor rant.

Buffs are not a problem. At the end of the day you have to be mindfull of the fact that it does require a whole nother profession mastery.

Yes it makes characters very powerfull....... but it's also a power an entirely different profession posseses.

Oh well... What a shame... I feel sorry for a lot of you guys.

I've been TKA (or going towards it) since I began the game in early July. I made TKM only like a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I tried a little CH on the way (and dropped it as it was overpowered and cheasy), then became Ranger. Oh and I did a little of Bio-E too because one of my goal was to make a Bantha. That plus Artisan in the beginning because I wanted to craft good powerups...

Anyway, even with all those little professions in the middle, and doing the calculus like you guys did, I should have made TKA in less than a month. Problem is I like to explore, to socialize, to make quests, etc...

Now, why do I really feel sorry for most of you guys ?

Because by making TKM in 5 month, when I finally came to see my favorite NPC trainer in Mos Espa, then slowly clicked each conversation box AND paying for it, then I felt something like maybe only a few of you have felt :

- Real achievement, something that I really earned and deserve to get...

What a N00b maybe to have never tried doc buffs until like a few weeks ago... To not have levelled the first 4 brawler boxes with an uncertified VK...

from an unbuffed Wookiee TKM...

I'm actually kinda concerned with the level of buffing available in this game. Fully buffed, I can get my special moves costs to trivial levels while using any weapon I want and any special I want. I'm talking UH3 in full composite costing a grand total of 2 points of mind - zero health or action. And that's without spices. It just seems a little unbalanced.

Yeah but it sure is fun!

Man, listen to urself, doing mission after mission for a few hours a day, with all that fancy armor, all buffed for 3 hrs, if that's not power playing then I don't know what it is, it might not be all day long, but it sure is power playing. All these proffs can be mastered failrly quickly if u do them mechanichally, if u had taken ur time to enjoy roaming the planets aimlessly and chatting with ur fellow scout u found by chance in the middle of the desert, or give the other professions a fair tasting of their flavor, if u had not used that armor because that day u didn't feel like using armonr, or not buffed because u know that u cannot always keep getting buffed int the middle of dathmor by yourself, so u want to prove toi urself u CAN survive without the fancy armor and the buffs if u have to... let me tell u, playing non-mechanically a few hoursa day u'd take surely more than a month, TK is hard, they're all hard, unless u grind them, then it's hard on ur mind.

peace
