You guys do realize that if you venture past the FS skills into the Jedi skills that you will be a Jedi, and will have to deal with everything that comes with being a Jedi?

I also see that some of you want to take the speed and accuracy trees. That's the feedback I really wanted to get from this thread. Do you think the speed and accuracy bonuses are of any use to a Teras Kasi Master? Why? We already hit once per second and I have never missed since I became Master TK/Master Brawler.

The speed and accuracy bonuses are not really all that useful to us right now. Accuracy maybe for PvP, but otherwise neither is. But I bet you 10 to 1 those boxes will be nice to have after the combat balance when they change the speed/accuracy/etc formulas.

In order to get persuasion and luck you can't convert fighting xp (unarmed, combat etc). Moreover to user force skills you have to be unarmored.

It would be really fun though to play such a template if the combat revamp introduces armor nerfs so that you rarely see anyone wear armor (like in the star wars universe).

With my TKA character Iam thinking about making her:

0044 combat prowess(melee accuracy/speed)

enhanced reflexes master(melee/ranged defense, vehicle control, suvival)

Then training up some lightsaber for leveling purposes and making her

Master defender, 0040 enhancer, 1000 healer

Then dropping the lightsaber and remastering TKM

That will give me TKM skills

master defender bonuses

force armor

force resists states, bleeding, disease

force shield(anti-nightsister)

And basic force healing allowing me to self heal my mind.

Since I won't need my force powers for attack purposes, my force can be used to maintain my defenses and occassionally heal me.

It would make the ultimate TKM

Here's what I've figured out so far:

Right now I'm Master TK, Master Swordsman, Master Brawler, Scout 4/0/0/0, Medic 1/0/0/0

I want to go back into the survey and resource selling business because I hate grinding missions for cash and I find I really don't use swords that much. So, assoon as Ilog in,I'm reverting back to my old template - Master TK, Master Brawler, Artisan 0/0/4/4, Scout 4/0/0/0, Medic 3/0/4/0 which uses all 250 skill points.

Ok, lets say I get a visit from the old fart and I start doing quests to unlock the Force sensitive trees. The 2 trees that specifically benefit melee are the Combat Prowess and Enhanced Reflexes trees.

Under Combat Prowess there is a line for melee accuracy and melee speed, each box giving +3. So by going up these trees you get +12 accuracy and +12 speed for only 8 skill points. Problem is, this is more than likely useless for Teras Kasi because we already hit at speed cap and are the most accurate melee profession as it is. So I would probably leave this tree alone.

Under Enhanced Reflexes we have a different story. There are two defense lines in this tree, melee defense and ranged defense. Each box in these lines give +5, so now for only 8 skill points I get +20 Ranged Defense and +20 Melee Defense. Much cheaper skill point cost than taking lines in other melee professions, don't you think? I'm definately taking these. I personally also really want the vehicular control line as well.

That takes care of what can help TK. There is also a lot of fun looking stuff in the Heightened Senses tree. The healing stuff here probably isn't worth taking unless you are a master medic, combat medic, or doctor, so I'll skip that tree. The luck, surveying, and persuasion trees sound fun to me so I'll probably take them.

So, by sacrificing some medic and scout skill points, I can do this:

Master Teras Kasi, Master Brawler, Artisan 0/0/4/4, Scout 1/0/0/0, Medic 1/0/3/0, Enhanced Reflexes 4/4/4/0, and Heightened Senses 0/4/4/4.All 250 skill points used, I still have decent terrain neg, I only have to drop from stim Ds to stim Cs, I get a good boost in melee and ranged defense, survey enhancements for my money making profession, and other fun stuff.

Sounds like fun to me.

I'll probably pick up some of the lower FS skills just to free up some points from fencer defenses, and maybe some vehicle control for when JTL comes out. (I'm part smugggler too)

I have no intention at this time to pick up any Jedi skills... although that may change as the game progresses.

I'm not sure how far I want to go into the FS trees, but It would be fun to play a Force Sensitive Teras Kasi master, from a content and roleplaying standpoint, that would make my character more similar to the Teras Kasi we see described in the history of the Order.

I may just get another account, but I fear that will take much too long for me to unlock since I can only manage a couple hours a day.playtime.

Id say it would be fun too, except for the fact that the "FS enhanced normal guy" is overly cliche'd in the movie sense and the way this game is going to be soon.

i just played with a character builder on Allakazam...

I could go Master TKA/4440 Doc/Master Combat Prowess/Master Enh. Reflexes.

That would rock.

Admittedly, the ranged stuff is kinda useless in the prowess line, but it's only 8 skill points.

Cheap at the price I think.

I'll have to wait and see before I decide. I have no interest in playing a Jedi, but if I can get FS trees to boost my natural TK abilities that wouldn't be so bad. Enhanced healing abilities sound appealing, and increased defenses at a lower cost than Fencer trees is music to my ears.

I really don't know enough about the system to speculate on particulars.

There are trees that give extra accuracy and speed, but we already hit at speed cap at master and we are so accurate as it is that I don't know if it is worth spending a few skill points to get more. What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised if the TKA accuracy or power gets reduced as part of the combat revamp. My guess is that post revamp, a MTKA+Force Sensitive melee accuracy enhancedwill be equal to or slightly better than today's Master TKA.
