"Socketed clothing is cosmetic, and doesn't actually benefit skills."
This WAS true in the past, and is NOT true anymore.

If you have a tape that only adds +1 to unarmed, then it will be helpful to someone just starting out, since +1 adds a higher percentage of increase than it does to someone with 100+ in that area. As you get higher, look for tapes that add more points (like 10+.)
Of course looking for more points is good, but you should also remember that most clothing has 4 sockets. When I have all my gear on, I have 34 sockets availbile. Those +1's start to add up of you get all of the same kind.

Arnt tailors and armorsmiths supposed to be able to make skill enhancement peices?
I was told that they are supposed to be able to, but that it is bugged.
Anyhow know if i have been misinformed?

I have a shirt that has +3 Melee Defense and +12 to something a little less important that i cant seem to remember right now. It also has 4 sockets available. So the bonuses were woven into the fabric. I'm still unclear as to how all this works. I've keep checking Versace on Starsider for more of this stuff but Anthony cant seem to get his hands on the materials to do it. I would like to know more about how all this works though if anyone has info...
