YOur Idea was silly, he pointed out why it was silly with simple, easy to read bulleted arguements. How is that flaming? If youre offended by "go play mortal kombat" then I guess you deserve the flames that you "think" youre getting. Honestly, I dont see what youre upset about. Care to point it out?

Ahm.. There IS a darkside of the force. "good" Jedi use the Force for defense and Help, never for attack.
(Haha on being required to kill plants full of creatures to level up your light Jedi....)
Using the force directly to harm others, like using the Power to sow fear in someone, or using force lightning,
or force choke are considered evil, as they are selfish and require you to use strong emotions like hatred.
Which in turn allows the Dark side to seduce you with power.
You CAN turn back from the intoxication of power from the darkside, as Vader did in ROTJ, but its not easy.
The Roleplaying game has clear mechanisms for that. (Darkside points for the use of Skills considered dark).
Now tell me there is no dark side, just be´cause a Jedi in SWG can learn them all, and suffer no ill effects.

"There is no "darkside" of the force... you would know that, if you knew star wars. It's just a matter of how you use it. As Luke Skywalker eventually finds out. Have a good day my Padawan learners."
Despite the fan fiction on your buddy's Geocities page, there is a Dark Side and it's not just "how a Jedi uses the Force". In fact that has nothing to do with it.
The Dark Side is called upon depending on the emotions of the person using the Force. "Fear, Anger, Agression" is what Yoda called the emotions that cause a Jedi to call upon the Dark Side. This is why Jedi were forbidden passion in their lives, because those emotions are brought forth. Jedi are supposed to be calm, mellow, like Yoda and Obi-Wan.
When those stronger emotions work themselves in a Jedi, he not only taps into the Dark Side, but it begins to control him. Those emotions become harder and harder to control. Eventually they may fall to the Dark Side and be completely ruled by them. The Dark Side is not a passive concept, it's an active danger that can take away a Jedi's self-control and make him a danger to himself and others.
These concepts are explored thoroughly in the movies, as well as many EU sources.

The Devs have already considered Elite-Elite classes. Back when cities were first being planned they thought of making the Urban Planner profession that stemmed off of master architect...and that would open the door for other elite-elites. But they scrapped it and rigthfully so, not many archis would want to spend skill points to make so few buildings.
But im sure the idea is still out there, but I dont think its going to happen any time soon. Too many other things are occupying the devs attention. Maybe after JTL and combat balance sometime next year.

Luke Skywalker is in fact able to use stuff such as lightning and force choke, and yes he is a "light" jedi as you all say. A jedi is a jedi. I was saying that any jedi can use any force... it's their feelings and emotions that matters. Force choke is not necessarily a darkside move, all force powers are neutral. If a "light" jedi isforced into a battle and uses something like that, he is not a dark jedi, as long as he keeps his emotions in tact. That is a proven fact, read the books. Now, as for this game that's different but don't act like you know "star wars" is all I am saying.
He was just saying it would increase the games playability if they did install elite elite classes. He knew they already disclosed the original artisan one. I think the real issue with this game is the bugs and such, I dont think they even need to release an expansion yet until they fix the first one lol. Can't just release an expansion if the original is still teleporting you when you get off a speeder or you slide off your chair while trying to sit in it.

Well, here's what happens. Sometimes (rarely) I teleport but then I teleport a second time right back to where I was. I remember when I'd get off my bike and I'd be 100 meters away in some random direction, but that hasn't happened in a long, long time.

Wow, well. I guess Im glad for you. but Im pretty sure I warped 64m away from my bike when I dismounted today, Ive heard people warping for over 1km. Ive even seen an afk buffbot musician get warped across the cantina, when he NEVER moves anymore, except to go back to his position. Just login, macro go. Recently he's been warping around. SO... Im glad it works for you, but not all of us are lucky.

First you say that there is no Dark Side, then you state that the Dark Side is tapped into based on your emotions. I'm not sure you know what you're saying.

Yeah the chair thing still happens but I don't think they should delay JtS because of it, I doubt you'll get teleported out of your cockpit and suffocate in the vaccum of space.
I never, ever get teleported out of my swoop. Ever. Not since they addressed the issue.
