DOH ive come up against a really REALLY tough jedi to beat 1 on 1. You see the problem isnt that I lose, but rather they dont use any moves that require alot of force, hence they dont run out of force, hence they dont die fast (darn force conserver
) but for the most part you just wear out their force.

yes they can ive fought a few jedi and most normaly run away but tkm is very good against jedi , i nearly beat on when i was defending are base , he was buffed me not but i died cause of a doc kept healing him but it was nice to see tkm stand against them easy enough unbuffed and unarmoured , ( but armourt make no difference ) , but simple answer is yes we can
Never wear armour when fighting a jedi, the encumberance will wear you down fast and it won't protect you one bit. That's assuming he's not accompanied by non-jedi spamming hits on you. Intimidate/stun/etc anddon't forget to dizzy/lunge as well, I love watching a jedi failing to stand up after 4 attempts.
try to throw a "..oooooh a jedi!!!" into spatial as well![]()

My first time posting here in the TKA Forums... I am a long time TKA and a Commando (Shock Trooper).
Intimidate is a must... it is the melee killer. I usually lead off with a good blast from my flamer (depends on what I hit them for) then switch to the knuckler. Knockdown 2 has not done well in my experience against the Jedi. But when it works... it works.
Jedi cant heal their own fire damage so I got the best possible flamer I could afford. I have hit non-Jedi for the full amount of their buff before. But for some reason the flamer puts only a medium dent at best in the Jedi.
Its what to do with the rest of my points that I cant figure out. Right now I'm doing BH (Investigation III) so I can take Jedi missions... but at the expense of my coveted Medic skills. I thought about Master Brawler for the extra abilities of Int 2 and WarCry 2... maybe I'll try that next if BH does not add some flavor to the game for me.

Honestly, any profession can beat any other profession. Depends on the skill of the player.
Sure SEA's, uber weapons, armor, foods, and buffs help.
You've seen from the responses here that it varies from person to person.
The first time I dueled a Jedi ( a padawan from my guild) I got beat up pretty good. Later ( a few months and a lot of practice later) I beat a Light Jedi Knight in a "real" encounter. I am only Master TK, Master Doc... so to answer your question, we stand a very good chance against Jedi in 1 on 1 duel type situations. Like someone else posted, it's usually the gank squads that kill me

I went 1v1 on a dark jedi knight recently. He was buffed and I was unbuffed, but I was fully loaded on foods. I was totally unarmored, of course, since armor is only a hindrance in 1v1 jedi battles. He won, eventually, but it took several minutes. I was a novice doc at the time, but didn't have any dizzy packs and only had stim-bs out instead of my 900 point stim e. If I'd had those two, I think I would've won, or at least extended the duel a significant amount. He eventually got me with health damage and dizzy/kd.
The trick is states, especially intimidate. I always apply all states as much as possible, try to stick a dizzy, then kd1, kd2 and lunge to try and get him on his back. He had jedi healing abilities, so he could cure his states while on his back, but those couple seconds while he's kd'd are priceless, not to mention the drain on force.
For the record, I was dosed up on;
pixie -health/action
accaragm - action
brandy - mind
ahrisa - mind (focus)
burnout sauce - unarmed damage
synth steak - damage reduction
snow cake - + to hit
air cake - + to dodge
for sure. I may have had a canape and/or a second brandy in my belly, I don't remember anymore. Luckily I had enough notice that I was able to dose up on the longer lasting foods and let them mostly empty out of my belly before getting there.

I see tkm's win many times. Seems to be all about applying states and wearing them down. Warcry seems to be a must.A good stat migration to mind with a healthy mind buff via foods and drinks will also keep you in the fight cause it may take a while to wear them down.
I havn't fought one yet but i would alsorecomend a strrong defence against dizzyor knockdown....you don't want to be on your back long with a tough knight.
If you want to become a good pvp'r i highly recomend when you see one of these battles to watch and learn.

No not really. I have been TKM for forever back in the days of spamming KD so people could never get get up if that gives you any idea. And I also havea jedi who is 3 million XP from having my final temp master healer/mastersaber with some enhancer. I have been on both sides of the fight and as far as I can tell a jedi with master saber and 4004 in healer should always be able to beat any norm no matter what profession they are. With PSG and Synthsteak it can make the fight interesting till they wear off, but once you get them dizzy and KD without steak I can do 700 dmg with my lightsaber on even def stackers. That is only 3 or 4 seconds of being KD before they are incapped no matter what their HAM bars are. Having fought as a TKM against jedi I do all I can to put int stun and get them dizzy/kd and sometimes you can get them down and low on ham but since jedi can heal their pools even when dizzy and kd they usually can get up and keep fighting.

Cha would you do me the honor as a fellow Rebel and Starsider gamer to answer a couple of questions...
1. Why does my flamethrower (which is a top 5 or 10% weapon)only does a medium dent at best against the Jedi.
and
2. I have not had much success at all with Knockdown on a Jedi... not all of them could be using thankillo... I am mystified.
I hope you read this and respond. Even though I have no desire at all to be a Jedi I respect them highly... but once I get Investigation III, I plan to bbq some dark jedi.

I beleive state defences cap at 100.
Jedi are highly overrated, sure they look cool and all but really, even after all that, just come in prepared.
I am working on getting a tight group of ppl together to hunt jedi (at least irregularly) on my galaxy, and it sucks that they can intercept everything ranged, be it rockets, flame (though I hear dots stick), grenades (though I hear they can't block those, or not), or even a FULL AUTO STREAM OF AUTOMATIC FIRE...
Yes, jedi are not invincible, contrary to popular beleif.
