Thread: Unarmed grind is the worst I've ever experienced...

Fencer is by far the hardest to reach....I have novice TKA and I've been working on fencing since release. Novice TKA was a walk in the park compared to Novice Fencer....and at novice TKA i do twice the damage as a Novice Fencer.

I will admit the grind to Novice TKA was tough...but not tougher than fencer.

You guys wanta hard and slow grind...try Fencer. In the length of time it took me just to hit Novice Fencer, I reached 1/1/0/0 and 0/2/0/2 as a Doctor...and that's only spending time in Med Centers while I needed healing. So I don't want to hear any of you TKs complain about slow grinding. Fencers, by far...have it worse than any of you...hehe.

Having said that...all melee classes have a pretty slow time reaching Master in our chosen line. We don't generally have the luxury of picking off targets before they get a hit in...so we take more damage per foe and thus require more downtime to heal. I think we all need a little break in the exp since we have to work twice as hard as a gun-toter to get the same exp.

I grinded TK in one week. Went from TKN to TKM by getting at least one skill, if not 2 or 3 per day.

How did i accomplish this? I was also a Master Doctor and used buffs and muon gold.

I still think TKA should have to master brawler at least

I don't understand why a TKA, dealing with unarmed attacks only, would have to be a Master Brawler. Brawler encompasses unarmed, one-handed and two-handed swords, and polearm. Doesn't seem conducive to me.

Seriously it took me less time to fill in half of my master swordsman box then it is taking me to get just to unarmed IV. I can't fathom the grind to TK novice.

It was a very very very very very very very very very very long road, especially after the patch that made VKs TK-only. All my friends were pitying me while they were getting 2k+ experience per kill and I was getting 100-200 experience.

But I'm in it for the long haul, and don't mind the working.

im a master TK and i did master brawler, i worked up fencing defenses stances and grips, and footwork. I had no trouble at all doing this with fencing. Swords is the easiest, fencing was the second easiest, and pike was the hardest to raise. pike just sucks what can i say.

unarmed 1-novis TK is infact the hardest exp in the game to get right now, and if you think otherwise your wrong, because of so many reasons. I do about 300-400 dmg with a curved sword at 2.0 speed. I do at unarmed 4 tera kasi student around 90 every 1.8. do the math friend.

It is a long, hard climb to that TK Novice....

The way that I did was getting some doctor buffs, then finding a novice pistoleer friend who was willing to help me. I walked up to large mobs, and started punching. He'd use healthshot1, healthshot2, and then hit peace. The bleed shot doesn't count towards xp for him, so when the mob bled itself, I got all teh xp. We would do this with lairs of cu pas, etc. He would just bleed each target successively, and I would spin attack...

It took about a day and a half of constant grinding, but I made it, and then became the self-sufficient Teras Kasi Novice!

Unarmed was by far the easiest tree to climb before the certification nerf. It was only reasonable to move it back to novice, since TKA's are (imo) the best melee combat class. As for post-nerf, the brawler unarmed tree is slower now, but once you hit novice, it'll be all cake.

I cheated. I went from Unarmed IV to novice TKA in 1 day. I bled mobs with a pistol then beat it down with my fist. That bleed thing really helps.

Unarmed was cake.

Pre-big-patch "Survival" Line of Ranger. Now THERES a bi***!

Try sitting on your behind, watching your eyes blink for hours on hours....Talk about "grind". Luckily they've changed it now so that you can craft/fish your way through it as well. Have mercy.

Even though VK certification is not achieved until TK novice if you use them while advancing in the Brawling tree you suffer no loss in damage but you gain significant attack speed ( providing your VK are decent )
