Thread: how long did it take 4u to get Master TKA?
i made it in a few weeks
i tried to make the pikets go extinct! but they just wont give up!
3 days of on and off playing.
At my peak, I was getting 275K exp per hour. Do the math.
This is to go from novice TKA to master TKA.
TKA is easily the easiest profession to level. EVER.
Commando is the easiest profession, aside from the unarmed part of it ![]()
I am still working on TK, but after grinding through Commando in a week, I decided never to do that again. I gotta say.. (I am 0-3-3-3 TKA), TK is the most fun I've had in this game. I really enjoy the challenge. I've been at it now for about three weeks, and I don't expect to Master it foranother three weeks.. at least.
Sometimes I buff, sometimes I don't. I use only my Grand Wrix, even though I am almost Master Creature Handler, but yea.. I've come this far pretty much soloing with a pet. I don't think I could have done it otherwise.
Last night myself and my friend, also a TK, went to Lok and went from one outpost to the other, 10000m, and killed everything that stood in our way. By far the toughest thing we found were Giant Crystal snakes. (Hard to hit those dang things..) Klickniks were a challenge.. at least the Queens.. especially when you get into a hive. Everything else fell easily before us.
I love TK. Alot.
3 months from novice Brawler to TKM. Me and my narglatch. Hate grinding (to what purpose?) and too many idiots in the groups I've been in so did alot of exploring. Average 3 weeks on each planet so far but have been almost everywhere on Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia and Endor.
Started a new character about 3 weeks ago and am at TK 0,1,3,2. Still solo and still exploring.
Idiots meaning "Lets shoot at everything and see what happens. HELP!!!!! **edit**....incapped again" and "Why didn't you pull him off me?" from 3 or 4 ppl at the same time a couple hundred meters apart.
From the time I started, I picked brawler the third day in (four months ago), dropped marksman, and decided immediately to go the route of Teras Kasi, as I'm an avid martial arts fan.
Upon that, I was halfway between UA2 and UA3 when thevk certs went away and hence, ham costs and complete lack of damage ruined the usage of them so away they went. From the time I got to TKN, able to use vks, I liked the damage but didn't do many specials because of the rather large HAM costs. This was around 2 months ago.
From then, I just spent a lot of time in the group I'm in, tanking stuff, specials, etc etc...until October, I was around 2/2/2/2. Then I started going solo, getting experience by myself without the help of pets, doctors, buffs, etc. Dantooine was my planet of choice as I could KD Kungas and Mokks and then beat them senseless without vks. I haven't used VKs in over a month. Doing that over and over again, only dying once or twice due to stupidity, I was able to master TK last week. So, in all, four months. And I got satisfaction every step of the way.
Took me about 3 1/2 weeks 100% solo (I hate groups, most people are dinks). No pets, no buffs, tricks. Me out in the wilds of Lok killing pirates, snorbals, nyms, mercenaries and anything else that looked at me funny. Mind you, this was when snorbals were non-communal and Nyms had no faction associated, but it's not that much different now.
I admit, I grinded because I have always been under the impression that xping is a small part of this...I mean, most people have mastered their professions pretty quickly. The real game starts after you've master and you can actually roleplay. I've found this to be definatley true. I've had an immeasurable amount of fun now that I havne't played for xp for months and months now. Most people just don't get roleplaying...thus the "I'm bored 1 week after I reached master" threads.
I've gotten way off topic...3 1/2 weeks. I grinded, never looked back, just learn more everyday toincrease my enjoyment, knowledge and fun as well as help my students get the same enjoyment I've gotten from Teras Kasi.
I did it around 2 months I think. I was dancing a lot , but occasionally go out with some friends or guild members.
