The only Fencers I have heard of that were unbeatable recently all had the glitch Akley Batons are you one of those (CSR have gotten most of them)? I would like to know what you stack with fencer because fencer on its own is not strong in PvP, (who woulda thunk it trolling is easy even I can do it).

Straight up Fencer vs TKA would be a nice fight to see, it would depend on the skills of each player, assuming buffs, armor, weapon stats, foods available were the same for both, After seeing and being involved in a number of PvP battles/fights I would lean towards TKA in the battle though as TKA have more choice in HAM attacks and states and I think flexability is key in PvP battles.

That is why you see so many people having their main template as TKA because as a combat profession we are good in PvE not the best but fair very well, in PvP we can hold our own, and you still have points left over to take another profession you enjoy, doesn't have to be a combat proff as TKA fairs well in a field of combat.

Just my two cents

Actually a TKA in duels fairs pretty well, even against the template stackers

Either way, there is no true solo PvP. You always have 1 or 2 people backing you up.

Anyway, TKA vs a Fencer, hands on the TKA who is smart enough to buy stun comp armor, both are fully buffed, and the TKA applies states without mercy. With all of this, which is the standard in PvP, the fencer class becomes sub-par vs a TKA.

Tkm is a good profession for pvp,

Personally i've only lost 1-2 duels against fencers. 1 was against one with some nasty janta/dot weapons and knew how to get the most out of them. 2nd was when I was testing my toolbar and they guy knew me my tactics and just had some very nice ones himself. I was down on the ground for about 10 seconds my dizzy macro wasn't working. You don't win them all. Theres no stand alone profession that'll win it for you. Even jedi can lose easily if they're not on their game, trust me i've beatdown quite abit of jedi.

Anyways duels and pvp are very different. PvP there are no such things as "fair teams". You may be up against 3-5 more people than your group. Plus its always nice to have someone covering your back. TKA i'd say the limit would be about 3 people at the most. More than that your just going to get states laid on you posture changes and more damage than your PSG's and Food can usually handle. If you find yourself against those odds it'd be best to call for backup. Fencers can usually take about 3-5 because of their dodge. But much more than that and they'll be ganged aswell. And this is inside running outside i'd say 2 or so this is ranged of course. Because there will be kiting to no end. And remember warcry is great for focusing on 1 person.

So we can hold our own but don't expect to kill 10 people by yourself unless your a Jedi Master or something. Jedi don't last very long with 5 or more people nailing them in melee combat. So know your limit and try to keep those conditions as much as possible and you'll be fine in PvP.

i was straight TKM while holo grinding and NEVER had any problems w/ fencers in pvp.
and i stopped pvping when i started doing the brawler and ranged classes (i'm insane i know )
so it was always tkm + something else (which never stacked to TKM)

so your argument is valid, from your point of view.

Sounds like that one guy needed to get some Stun Protection. I always wear my stun protection composite suit when PVPing, and one guy was sitting there hitting me constantly with a stun batton and I stood there for at least 10 secs and he didn't take off but maybe 5-10 points of damage per hit (and I was almost dead), then he ran and started shooting me again with his rifle . Even tho he did win in the end, it wasn't because of a Stun Batton! (and I wasnt even master then, probably 0-1-3-2)

look im a TKM Master Doc and the only benifit left to fencer is to kill the few noobs who arnt wearing or dont have any stun protection... which btw TKMs can kill as well. You have to focus on having alot of mind and being prepared but with enough heals i.e. poison disease fireblankets state heals, in your inventory you can keep a duel going until you wear down the other person's defenses. The key is mind food and (especially if your a zabrack) lots of NICE mind food... such as brandy that you can drink two and then two again right before the first two wear off. Thakitillo is very important since we have such crappy kd def as TKMs but i dont just get slaughtered, EVER, by fencers.
