Maybe the Chefs on your servers are pretty bad. On Eclipse Ah-Di sells Canapes that can be eaten 3 at a time.

would work out more like 2 brandies and 1 canape M-824 W-1193 F-1193


2 brandies and 3 ahrisas M-824 W-2024 F-824


for me I still like my canape in this formula and in a pinch I can eat 3 of them since my canape's while not uber powerful have a very low fill. I could bump those first ones up to M-824 W-1931 F-1931 as it is now with 2 brandies and 1 canape I have no mind drain what so ever and I am a trandoshan with a very weak mind. This is not meant as a flame just putting out the numbers so others can make thier own choice.

Teras Kasi is an Extremely unneffective and Weak profession that needs many many improvements, Including a NO or very little HAM cost special system, And far more effectiveness in solo and Group pvp. TK specials are useless and unefective against almost anything. Unarmed hit 3 is a moderate attack but could be made a lot better, what it should do is put every state on an opponent, and hit for more damage, and cost almost none or very little HAM.

Hmm, this is weird.... I've been tkm for about a week, and i love it! I team it with master rifleman, although since i've had tk i've hardly touched my rifle. Been on dath hunting nightsisters, and I can take almost every single one solo. In fact, I've been attacked by 2 protectors and 3 spell weavers at the same time and killed em all. I'm a wook, so my armour's only 56% kinetic. I can tank an elder fairly happily while other rifle and swordmen take em down.

As far as I can see, the tkm who wants to do high end PVE needs: buffs, armour, food (2 brandies and an ahrisa, with muon and canape for emergencies), a centre of being macro running (makes you very hard to hit), and keep the baddies intimidated (so they do less damage to you), knock em down if you can, and hit them for all you've got.

I've only died once since i started my tk grind, and that was only because i didn't notice my food running out!


TK is great, 'feels' right, unlike my stupid conceal shot with my rifles!

I'm with Bashbacharac on this one. TK is an extremely powerful class. You just have to know what you can and cannot do. Rancors? I can take out two lairs and be back in dath op before my muon downer hits with time to spare. Jantas? No problem at all. Nightsisters? Takes a bit of time and stay away from the elders lol.


100% kinetic == Run. Run your ass off. AR2 or greater == a bit of patience and being ready with some extra mind food(for the most part).


Incidentally(yes, I'm a lurker ) anyone remember when these boards were flooded with 'NERF TKM!!!!!!" posts?

That was when you could KD/dizzy someone and proceed to beat them to death before they could get up - due to low-resist armour, variable buffs and useless food.

TKA is simply one of the most solid, playable, funprofessions in the game. (with the exception of the grind to TKA Novice )

Got tera kasi novice and 0-0-2-1 TKA last night. Has to be the most fun i've had in combat in this game. Relic Reapers are fodder, as are janta/kunga (when i can get 2 or 3 away from the pack). I've died several times, in all cases where my buffs ran out in the middle of combat. I can't wait to see what other kinda crap i can kill as i progress even further!

Yeah I mean really...


You can PVE with it,

You can PVP with it,

You can go after Jedi with it,

You can dabble it,

What other profession works nearly 100%? TKA has maybe 1 or 2 "bunk" specials. Everything else can be considered usefull and functional.

And you can look cool too.


Whats not to love about TKA..... and from at least current perspective, you can even call it "balanced" if not a bit underpowered.

I am only a 2/3/1/4 TKA right now, and I can solo The Mutant Rancor Cave on Dath, I can also solo a mob of Night sisters. I am just as powerfull now as a TKA as I am a master Fencer (though not nearly as fast. I absolutally love TK, although I am pretty sure I can only do those things sinc eI am a Master Fencer. Oh well, I love it anyways, and Can't wait till I master.

Oh, I can also solo an Ancient Bull Rancor (all by itself mind you), but it takes nearly forever and half th tim eI can't do my specials 'caus emy mind is so darn low, but I can still do it, lol

TKM owns unarmored stuff.


PvP is difficult if you aren't good at it.


If you want to solo anything PvE you are looking for swordman. No matter how much you know about TKM, you won't kill the big stuff with it.
