I would recomend Mutant Womp Rat missions out of Mos Entha. Fair fight and good xp for someone working on novice.

I just completed TK Novice, here is what I did:

Zucca Boar missions on Tattoine
Grouped with droid
3 waves of 2 boars at 466XP each and lair for 520XP = 3316XP (barring babies of course)

That's about 38 missions, or 19 grabs from the mission terminal. And they go down pretty quick, having some healing is necessary though. No buffs needed but some armor does help.

I did it by tatooine killing scyk. If you find one out in the wildernedd (not mission spawn), you get about 20 scyk per lair. They're fairly easy to kill and gives good xp (800-500 depending on how many boxes you have). When the xp gain gets low (as you get more boxes, you get less xp from easy mobs), go to west tatooine to hunt down banthas. Wild lairs spawn more than missions lairs as I said, so look for those.

Or go to fort tusken. I remember punching a warlord and getting 1k xp. But usually it's way to crowded there to be any good for xp.

Anyways, scyk and bantha. good times.

What I did was god a friend who was a master doctor and a master teras kasi. I went to Dantooine, I got some quenker missions, I did quenker missions and attacked the quenkers till my mind went down, backed off she killed em, got about 2-3k exp per kill, took me about 3hours nonstop. but TRUST ME, once you get novice, it is SO MUCH easier...

Hehe, thanks for reading my post, those of you who actually understood what i wrote, and the title, etc.

Thanks for the help on what to do. It was useful, but I don't see how I'm going to get armor without money, which is a problem. Any suggestions on that? I did finda few friends whoare also grinding towards the novice level of their profession so we go out hunting when we can. I don't have much time on the weekdays, as I have alot of HW.

I don't know how other people grind to TKA without friends... It must be very hard. I'm glad I've met people willing to help me out. Thank god not everyone is conceited and hateful. Though, I've met a fair amount of those people as well. Hopefully I can just grind out missions for money until I can buy some ubese on the weekend. I run into another obstacle there though- I'm having trouble finding decent ubese on my server, Ahazi. A lot of the people and advertisers @ coronet seem to be pretty new to the game, unlike some of the other servers I have characters on. Maybe I'm just not going to the right places? I found 28% ubese (the best i can currently afford that I can find).. is that your idea of decent? I don't know if its sliced, but again, thats expensive.

Thanks again to all who actually answered my question.

If you want some quick starting cash for buffs or a Vehicle, with no risk, I have an idea, but it's not the most exciting way to get credits, but it get's you started with cash to an advanced planet or whatever...

Go to Tyrena on Corellia. Buy the cheapest general crafting device you can find. Go to the Artisan terminal (don't have to be an artisan) and you can run Crafting missions to Vreni Island (1400 credits) grab two of them, pick up the components and then run the delievery mission. Buy a shuttle ticket round trip.

Get to Vreni Island and deliever the parts. Burst run back the to the shultte (no terminals on Vreni Island) and repeat. Good way to get starting credits with no downtime other than shuttle waits (which is equal or actually less than running to mission points.) By the time you pick up and craft the componets in Tyrena the next shuttle should be there or only a couple mintues away. Bascially you get paid 2800 credits to ride the shulttle.

Option B is the same thing, but run them out of Anchorhead to Bestine. I call it the loop. Grab two in Anchorhead for 900 credits each and hop the shuttle to bestine. Delever the goods and run grab two more missions back to Anchorhead buying a round trip ticket in bestine. Deliver in anchorhead and pick up two more and burst run back and catch the same shuttle. Good quick way to get a landspeeder, but again, it's a cash only operation. No Xp. Makes it about 3600 per shuttle ride if you dont' miss the shuttle in Anchorhead. Trust me, it's better cash than 600 credit destroy missions per hour. Quicker cash too.

I personaly, as far as XP goes prefered Kadduu and Spiders on Naboo (Hermit Spider Sentrys and Poison Spitters) for my grinding. No armor, better if you make friends with a Novice Medic looking for xp. Just ask a Novice medic if he wants healing xp, and he will get if fast going out with you. Faster than tumble grinding. He heals, you kill. If not, better train in Novice Medic cause you will take lots of wounds and damage. If you can't find a medic, I would say do the Anchorhead route listed above, so you can get healed in the catina, and you can use /tendwound on yourself if you can't find a doctor and you heal the mind damage by watching the dancers.

As far as saying "I dont' have armor to grind with" I'd tell you that you should be running missions until you get enough for at least a helmet and jacket. Then pick up the rest. Go to the serverforum and ask around for a good armorsmith and see what he has available. Or get the highest Kenetic Armor you can afford ASAP. It will cut your down time in half.

Novice brawler->UA4 took me a little under2 hours. UA4->novice TKA took just under 2 hours.

How? Simple. Get doctor buffs. Wear mabari armour (or something cheap and low HAM). Get a speed sliced VK. Find a natural (ie non mission)lesser bocatt lair on Tat. Kill all the bocatts that spawn - 1200xp per kill if your grouped. Use berserk a lot! I was getting 30-40K xp per lair.

Mutant Womp Rats and Scyks are good mission targets - but the running backwards and forwards to town reduces the xp rate significantly - especially when you factor in the number of times your speeder will disappear on Tat! Plus, there arnt as many creatures in a mission lair as a natural one.

See, if I was rich, this would be sooooo easy... 10k buffs.. brandy.. 70% kinetic ubese.. 1.5 speed VK...

TKN in 2 hours. TKM in 1 day.

But.. I'm not! I'm poor!

I'll try out that money making scheme of yours. Sounds good, except if you miss the shuttle :/

Any specific reason Anchorhead to Bestine?

Thanks everyone for the tips, you guys are great. Can't wait to be on the other end of this post

I say run Scyk missions on Tat until Unarmed 3. At that point, you should have some decent cash. Get some doc buffs and mabari and go to Talus to get wolf kima missions. They pay out fairly well and the kimas give out good xp. I hit Unarmed 4 and Novice TK in one evening just doing kimas.

Anchorhead to Bestine seemed to be the best paying loop I could find on Tat. Anchorhead is a must due to the town being so small. If you could get good paying missions to one of the other towns it would work, but the only other's that paid as well for to Wayfar and Mos Taike with no shuttles. Look around and see if the other cities pay as well, but if you use Anchorhead as one stop, you should be good to go. I haven't done these missions for a while (It was a starting character thing for me.)
