I in full agreement Krayts are supposed to be and right will be one of the hardest NPCs. No one person will or should be able to solo such a creature. I guess what i'm saying is i'd really, really love to find out what direction TKM is going in the CU. Tanks or DPS? Bit of both or something else all together? *sniff*

I can tank krayt fine with my template TKM,Mswords,Mbrawler,Fencer 0440 and some fs skills to meele def, speed andaccuracy. But it also has to do with the armor, buffs (both doc and ent), Be food, skill tapes and so on. Yes I can solo a krayt or should I say Juvis and Canyons with TKM. But I prefer to go hunting with my jedi friend to get them done faster. It also has to do with your knowledge of tanking. Do you int 1 and 2 are you centered and powerboosted. Last but not least are the people you hunting with playing their roles as dam givers or back up support.

I think there is alot more to "what a proffesion is" than just tanking and DPS. Each combat proffesion and each supporting proffesion needs to be uniquie enough to be desired in a group. TK should never be a hard hitting proffesion in my eyes, we should be fast, tough and be able to control an oponents states. Pure damage should be where we lack compared to other combat proffesions. I think TK is balanced pretty well at the moment and I don't expect there to be any huge changes to the proffesion. Just the new weapons, the new way specials work etc.

Well there you go, you've got Swordsman and Fencer defences which i don't have. I'm in 80% Kin armour 2.5k buffs and full entertainer buffs. Brandy & Arisa however no skill tapes. I only have int 1 and yes i keep it intimidated. I know how to tank from my EQ2 days and yes i am also centered. I was playing the tank and the pistoleer was taking the ranged role applying some firedots to his health while i'm using body shot. Do i get a sticky gold star?? WEE!

IMHO, TKM and Pistoleer realistically should be switched. Since when does holding a gun give a person moredefense than offense. And if anyone here has taken a Martial Art course, they'd know, defense is stressed much more than offense. Since my template is mastered in both, it doesn't matter too much to me, but for all intents and purposes, a blaster should be able to do more damage than a fist.

My best hit with a pistol is around 1200 when I can hit with a VK for up to 4000 hit points. Together, these professions provide a good balance, I just think the roles are reversed.

Or simply consume 1 Thakitillo. You will get KD'd only a couple of times in the fight. I can tank ancients while i'm AFK for a Jedi. Just the 2 of us and no Pistoleer or fencer skills. Just eat 1 of those m8.

What two attributes would you say are the most Important to a Teras Kasi:

  • High DPS (Damage per Second)
  • High Damage per hit
  • High Toughness &/or Mitigation
  • High State Defences

I'd say High State Defences and Toughness myself. Anyone?

High State Defences is number 1. High Toughness, number 2. TKM's just don't have enough defense which is why people like myself are required to stack our defenses with less offensive professions (i.e. Pistoleer, Fencer, etc.).

Which is also why we'll have to see after the CU how stacking will work. If Swordsman has better defences than Fencer, which is what the chart seemed to imply, then the 2hand requirement from brawler might come in handy.....

I will be on tonight to cheggit out, that is if SOE would finally send me my beta key,
