I agree with the original poster. I don't grind exp, I just hunt. I hunt when I want, what I want and how I want. I don't let the FS grind take control of my playstyle.
But I don't agree that grinding is bad, it's just not my preferred playstyle. More power to those that enjoy the mindless grinding. But simply because it's not how I'd choose to play doesn't mean it's wrong.

I haven't put too much effort into my FS grind.
I've been hunting things in a TK-ish manner. Mostly Nightsisters (since I can't manage to find any FS mobs that I can kill without armor).
Killing Nightsisters kinda makes me feel like I'm "Eliminating Force Users that aren't using discretion". (yeah, i'm a big believer in the whole TK-hunts-FS-people mentality 
). And killing NS isn't PvP, which is nice for me, since PvP is a passtime at best for me.

I kill Rancors at the sarlacc pits in 2 hours i get to max my unarmed and scouting and 1/2 the combat

I'm a master CH, on my hunt for a Rancor Bull. The endless search keeps me going while i hit things for XP

I like to kill nyms around lok, they are plentiful, you can loot vibro motors for some VKs that is how i got my 211 vk, and solo they give 3500-4800 exp per kill, i can cap unarmed about twice in one buff just killing nyms, you should try it out, the nyms droidekas too drop the cool stuff like the motors and crystall clothing treatments, bubble tank schematics, and a few other odds and ends. Its pretty fun.

The wasiest thing I have found is to go to Endor, smugglers outpost. If your lucky you might run into a SBD once in a while. Just get buufed, get some missions, go to them, and hunt anything that gets in your way, just go to the yellow/red hostiles like a magnet, pretty soon you get lots of xp. Go after those pig like things, they give around 4k and go down in a couple of hits.

My Fav hunting place is the Corsair camp on lok... you get good xp, and okloot (Recycler motors, Crystals) and its not too hard..
