Ok, well I'm a Teras Kasi Master/ Master Doctor. Recently I decided I wanted to go hunting for Bounty Hunter Armour. Personally I can't stand "grinding" for Force Sensitive and I refuse to change up my template to grind anything. So, something I noticed quite accidentally.
To loot Bounty Hunter armour you have to kill Black Suns (Gurads, Henchmen, Assassins.. etc...) The loot drop rate isn't that great either. But you have to go to some pretty extreme places to find them. I found that while out on Yavin 4 (in the NW corner high in the mountains) there are SOOOOO many spawns of Klikniks and Angler spiders that it got a bit hard to take 5 steps without an aggro. SO finally I said "KILL EM ALL!!!!" Now, of course this is no different than the old "Path of Destruction" method of grinding (pick a direction and kill everything till you hit exp cap) but personally I found in the hills of Yavin and the area behind the Dath Imp Prison I was maxxing my unarmed in right about 2 hours or less.
So, nothing too new except that without trying, without thinking about it, and without "grinding" I was maxxing pretty fast. I guess what I'm saying is go pick yourself some other "fun" goal that will facilitate the grind. Something like.. "I want to get a full set of RIS armour" or "I want a full set of BH armour" or whatever rare loot item tickles your fancy.
For me at least, this makes it more fun because I'm not thinking about it as a grind, I'm thinking about it as a hunt.

I totally agree far to many people are caught up with the "must get jedi now" complex. You wont get as much exp/hour as other methods (like nade grinding) but big whoop, you're having fun and thats the true point of the game!
I'll probably do the same thing when I get round to doing the whole village thing.

Very nice. I, like you, decided to stick with my guns. I have heard this and that about what to hunt, and what not to hunt. I found alot of satisfaction sticking close to home and hitting Tortons, which yield 3500 unarmed/350 pts combat, roughly. Not only are they easy to kill, but they are very plentiful around Rori and all I have to do is just take a short ride from my house and can rack up the points in a few hours.

If you kill and loot the Hutts on Yavin IV, you can eventually end up with both TK posters too (negligible XP, mind you).

Yep, totally agree. Grinding for grinding's sake is not fun. I get with a friend and we set a target, such as tuskens on Tat, nightsisters, rancor hunting for fun, Black Sun, etc. It doesn't take too long to max out on xp. Sure, it's not as fast or 'efficient', but my friend and I have a blast and have been thru some hair-raising moments (my rancor unexpectedly running off to bite a ns elder, for example). So go and have fun, and the xp will roll in.

I'd 5* you if I could.
Grinding is bad. Playing the game is good.

I couldnt agree more with this post. What I have seen is, and correct me if I am wrong, but it seems the older player, adults if you will, tend to take this attitiude. To get to Jedi might be nice but I am not going to sacrifice game enjoyment for the sake of going on the terminals too quickly. Where the younger player gets off on grinding to Jedi so they can run around and "pwn" people and then grief them after. I am with all of you Ill get to Jedi -- someday-- maybe-- if I really want to but there is a lot more to this game than grinding Jedi.

There are a few good spots to do this. Pretty much you go to the Western edge of Dathomir and your getting the same deal. Interesting fights good loots and fun.

Hehehehe.. funny thing is I started around launch, I got my one free unlock otherwise it's been the same "grind" as any newbie. Honestly, since I heard of the "new" system I came to the conclusion that eventually I would get the exp neccesary through my normal gameplay. Yeah, the exp totals are pretty darn high, but still... eventually through natural gameplay I'll make it to the Mel quest someday.
Honestly, if there was another way to get a second character on the same server (besides buying a second acct) I'd never even consider Jedi. Just not my cup of tea. I play because I have a lot of friends and fun on my current server. I guess if they all quit maybe I'd go grind crazy just to "let my anger flow" but I highly doubt that situation ever occuring! LMAO!
Have fun, everything else comes naturally.. even if it does take awhile.
