Love how BH gets YET ANOTHER decrease in skill points used and all melee get an increase!! Wish the DEVS would give us some info on what is going on for us. I mean do we get more defenses such as Def vs KD! I mean Iknow 20 is UBAR(sarcastic) and our DIZZY is godly(super sarcastic) but I would like to know what is going on with us rather than getting shafted. Wow we get new weapons... but that don't help anything if we don't know anything besides Melee can attack at 6m and ranged 64m. That is why they are ranged and I understand that but if our stats are this crappy. No way will we make it to a ranged guy to even hurt them. I hear we won't have any armor either... that may be rumor but if not. Wave bye bye to any chance of survival!
Out of this cry session of mine, My point is: SHOW US SOMETHING USEFUL that would want us to stay a class rather than show us the NERFS you do to us which make us wonder, Is this game even worth it!?!
The 2H prereq puzzles me, too. Pikes make more sense from the EU standpoint, according to another poster (I know little about the EU, until I actually got IN the game I kept thinking 'European Union?'), and 1h makes more sense to me. That last I confess is more because I think of Teras Kasi as a martial art, and there are plenty of martial arts which use weapons; plus, I still can't help thinking of a knuckler as a weapon, and a one-handed one at that.
My hope's still that the CU will enhance my abilities as a TK, not limit them...we shall see!
why would we need to no what we wouldnt use?

Okay item number one: HAM damage and special moves... I can live with what they are proposing, though I think it makes the game way too simple. I will leave my suggestions of how it should be out fof this post for brevity.
#2 No more stat migration -- B. F'ing S. One of the things that made this game so cool was the fact thast I could customize not just the look of my toon, but the stats as well. Human stats have needed to be fixed for over a year. Beyond that there is room for some minor tweaks, but that is all tht is needed. Don't remove stats... I dont want to be a generic Zabrak running around, I want to be ME... a specificallly trained physically prepared toon that reflect what I believe is most effective.
This I can't see how they have an option with, keep in mind that now you will more want more in your health alot of the time etc, now theres nop drain stats people would generaly go for the same set up.

If I wanted to play a game where the "life points" of my toon got bigger with levels, I'd go play Diablo or any other damned stupid RPG out there. Yet another unique idea that I loved about this game now down the toilet. We are all pretty much the same, its how you use your skills and what skills you have that determine how "tough" you are, not because I am a "level XX" I have a bigger health bar.
I wasn't too sure on this myself originaly, it's grown on me though, one thing we don't know yet is just how much differnce it will make to have X amount of health more.
4) Buffs
I fully agreee that doctor buffs are overpowered, and in conjunction with armor make the game stupid at the present. However 10% and 20% buffs is just dumb.
20% buff is still 600 health to a 3k health template, thats still a fair old chunk, I think alot of people may well want that extra bit.
5: Pre-requisites
TKA has nothing to do ith 2-hand sword. (if i weren't on firefox I'd post this in big red underlined bold letters)
Now there are two actual viable possibilities in my expert opinion.
Keep us how we are and ballance accordingly with other professions.
Make TKA require master brawler, make us the elite melee profession, and ballance us accordingly.
I'm not too keen on current prereq either, we are puting forward our concearns in the Corre forum, if & when I get an update that I can give you on this I will. Don't be suprised though if something happens & I can't let you guys know.
One thing on the Master Brawler point, that would be very counterproductive in terms of the rest of the skill point balacing, no combat proffesion now requires more then two lines, Hybrids only require 15sp's more for the extra novice.
Its is very difficult to not say something inappropriate about the DEV's parentage right now.
6 - Screw the skill re-spec. Half the FS skills are useless and don't work properly anyway, not to mention being trememdoulsy unballanced as to the ease of aquiring them. Combat branches are 50 times easier than the others like crafting and heightened senses. There are no skill bonuses for entertainers, and nothing meaningful for the scout trees. Nothing is useful for the crafters either when you consider a high end 12-point crafter.
What is SWG going to do with hybred templates who have half of their skills in Jedi Boxes? Tell us to give up Jedi Boxes that the mindlessly spent hours grinding out because now their favorite normal profession costs more skill points?
Stuff you won't be able to respec simply won't be droped, the FS boxes are out of the scope of the CU at the moment, it doesn't meen they won't get love after, I very much hope they do, hopfully the combat mods will at least be fixed.
Absolutely un-beleivable. How dense can SOE DEVs get? I don't want to play goddamn Everquest. That game is not SWG. Stop trying to make it so.
Its not my fault no one plays EQ2, dont punish me by forcing me to play SWG-EQ2. I thought it was bad a couple months ago when half the population left SOE for WoW... now everyone will leave for anything but SOE. MxO anyone?
It's not going to be an EQ2 clone, keep in mind that the notes you have just read area few points frommany docs most of which are the same length as the doc Blair posted. Keep in mind that some changes are purly to get rid of imbalences that can ocour with what we have now, TH told us in the CU forums to do this & I think it very much falls true here as well,
'you must unlearn what you have learned'
The changes coming are many, but generaly I'm confidant they will work well & will balance the game nicly. Please wait at least untill more Docs are out before screaming it's the end of the game, there is a fair old chunk left to come, idealy wait till you play it, still voice your concerns but don't go the route of 'oh its the end of the game!'.
UA - 2H- but balance the rest of the Brawler prereqs more.
UA - Novice Scout.
UA - then a generic brawler line that everyone will need to level up,
UA - Any one other melee line.
Fencer - 1H + UA
Swords - 2H + 1H
Pike - Pole + 2H

One thing I'm going to add now is to take note of the last comment I made on the post to Kas, we were told to 'unlearn what we have learned' meening huge changes are happening, try not to make any suggestions based on combat effectivness, just on what you know about things post CU.
