Thats not a very good analogy, whats happening to us is we're going to a bowling alley that advertised both big ball and small ball bowling (can you tell I know nothing about bowling? 
). However, when we got there we found that all the lanes for small ball bowling were crooked and dirty. Some people went and played big ball bowling instead (went to ranged), some people played small ball despite the fact it was less than ideal (loved melee enough to overlook the problems), some people played small ball just for the challenge (they seem to think melee is the "hard" setting for SWG), but the rest of us complained to the manager.
I see nothing wrong with us doing just that. They advertised melee as a plausible play style, but when we got in the game it was quickly apparent it was worse than ranged in every way. So we're complaining to the manager.
Thesmall ball lanes need a make over.

I have to say that I would really hate to see someone with as much dedication to the TKA profession leave. Try taking a break for a couple weeks and then come back... who knows, they might fix us....

ShaiLyn) The fact is that there are ALOT better combinations for pistol(namely BH, which i've picked up).Any combat profession will 'benefit' another in some way, the trick is finding which one has the largest benefit.
Malibu) You'relooking at it verywrong.Alot of us spent time going into a profession that has been effectively nerfed(for lack of a better term). The fact that irks most of us is the drastic changes that were made AFTER we had paid our dues to get master status. Simply put: The profession we went into is not the same profession we are ending up as, and that's what bothers us.
On your last point, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at. It's just a game, therefore it has no importance? I for instance, might decide that you are of no importance, and proceed to kill you. You on the other hand might have a different perspective on the matter.
What I'm trying to get at is, people have different sets of priorities. No I'm not saying that games are more important than marriage(though they can be ), but don't assume that you are the end-all all-powerful master of the universe, and everyone should share the same views as you and live their lives the same way you do(Most people base their lives around priorities, IE: I believe law is important, and I intend to be a lawyer, whereas many people are disgusted by lawyers).

My original play was to be a Master TKA/Master CH/Some pistoleer. Weird thing now is I stopped going up the pistol tree. I am at pistol specialist and really do not care to go up any further. Mainly cause to me ranged is well.... boring. All you do is stand and fire, or run around like an idiot firing your pistol. When I am doing my TKA thing I find myself having more fun. I feel like I am actually doing something, and not just standing around like an idiot watching a laser light hit a target. It is even more fun when I get my creatures invovled because it is just plain cool to be up there with your pets fighting the good fight, but again when I use my pistol it is just shooting at a target while my creature mauls him. Which is why I am not going to be dropping melee anytime soon.

I like kicking the SH*T out of kiters and laughing at them when they cant take out their at-st to stop my onslaught. I popped a tat sunburn and a pixie, took the shuttle to bestine and raped 5 kiters all by myself. Then they all came back and sneak attacked me, giving me a personal shuttle ride back to anchorhead for free TK is the most fun , and god help me for having to say this, even though its hard to be good at.

You can think that I am important, and basically you would be correct from your perspective. But the flaw in then going on to say that you should kill me because I am unimportant is that .. you have no motivation to kill me. If I were threatening you, then it would be important for you to take action. Given the repurcussions in today's world, killing someone has to be pretty important to you.
On the other hand, realizing that a video game is not important will only have positive results. I know very well how easy it is to let yourself be consumed by devoted online gaming. It is a willfuladdiction. If you can't see how trivial a game is by now, there really isn't anything I can say to convince you.
I have to agree that you seem to be enjoying the attention of message boards more than the game itself. I am also a Master TKA, and I enjoy the class. You claim to hate the class. My posts about the class are generally positive. I don't recall a single positive post by you. But that is what message boards usually result in: ceaseless complaining.
I can say this: I am new to the TKA profession but most professions are broken. Pistoleer is one of them. I am currently surrendering pistoleer skills as i progress in TKA. I also went through BH lines first before they fixed them. People will always look for something better, its the nature of the beast.
Pistoleers are a grass is greener class. I will just give you a heads up. I wrote a discussion post called Pistoleer Issues. You can look it up. Its 200 or so replies about the class.
The profession is bottom loaded. All the skills that are useful are either marksman pistol, ranged support or novice pistoleer skills.
Healthshot1,2 work perfectly.
Bodyshot2 (MM) works like a charm , BS3 is higher cost lower DPS then BS2.
PMD1 ... KD for less then 1 second.
The DX2 ... broken does not use AP1
The rest of the skills attack RANDOM pools.
Good post High_on_bread, and as a TKM/Master Brawler, I fully understand.
I started playing the 1st week of release and after reading up on all the professions it was very clear I would become a TKM. I have enjoyed it a great deal and put a lot of thought and effort into my character, one that was created and built around the concept of a TKM. However, I also really enjoy PvP and as a TKM, its basically agood way totorture yourself. Nothing urks memore when I get the jump on someone and get kited to death when I did everything right and still lost.
I also played DAOC since day one of release and several months back finally canceled out of frustration. I was a Thane from day one. If anyone is familiar with Thanes, they will know that basically I chose the "Thane of SWG". Excellent in PvE, trivial to a joke in PvP. Mythic basically ignored Thanes and gave trivial changes after over a year of pleas, I'll not go through the same crap again with SoE.
Summarizing my response against the negative posts)
FIrstly, I suggest you take the time to read, and if need be re-read my post(s). You seem to be lacking a general grasp of the reasoning that I interlace into my points, or are simply not spending enough time reading the post to understand. Regardless, I suggest you try to gather your wits, or get some help if you need it, and understand the post before posting a poorly thought out response that's too logically and blatantly intellectually inept to even bother me.
Call me what you will, an attention-whore, a "ceaseless complainer", or just a whiner. But, most people don't gather that from my posts, which implies that either you are just here in an attempt to troll, are not fully grasping the thread, or everyone else is inept. I tend to lean away from the latter, due to the improbability of it.
