I'm looking at Master Teras Kasi/ Master Pikeman/ Master Brawler/Swordsman 0034/ Novice Medic
Intimidate, Warcry, Improved Critical Strike, Advanced Armor Break

Melee Def +210, Ranged Def +145, +75 to both while Teras Kasi, +65 while Pikes
+220 General Acc, +60 General Speed.

Looks pretty good so far.

TKM / MBH, just to test, i know it gives only sh!te ranged acc and speed but anyway, i really like both professions and thats the chance to combine both masters

Where did you get all the information from with the new info on melee and ranged defense and attack bonuses? I ahven't seen any published yet..

The Naked Swordsman Template:


Master Swordsman: 5 on offense (devs ratings)

TKM: 5 on defense, less stress on the action pool since you use innate armor and don't need battle armor.

Pikeman: 0400 5 on crowd control (area sweep & spin attack)

Medic: 4000

Marsirion... why Medic 4000? If you truly don't think you'll be draining your action much the ability to heal in chunks that will be almost afifth of your health (I'm guesstimating here based on how much 0040 heals at 1600 health) should work out to be considerably more of a 'buff' than the buff tree would be.


Unless you're thinking of the ability to buff up others in which case your point of diminishing returns would probably be somewhere around a four or five person group. (Again, based on healing vs buffing at 1600 and assuming there aren't freaky deaky hidden stats on high health (which we already know there are based on most folks observations of character 'level' vs. critter 'level' so this could all be completely invalid logic.))


I really hope they turn the frog functionality way up soon so we can actually test this stuff without grinding out eight or nine profs.

Wraith-X : Hmmm... good point. We have to see when we get to do elite profs in the froggies. I'm still grinding TKA atm. What did you think of the main melee template though?


It makes sense to dabble from the pikeman in order to retain the ability to do crowd control.


Area: taunt then Advanced spin attack with swords while the rest ofo the group picks up and destroys stragglers. If one of the mobs breaks loose, area taunt again but with the crowd control spin attack I doubt they will aggro others.

Firstly... a very nicely built character builder updated for the CU can be found here...

Secondly, Marsirion... I like what you're going for (although I can't seem to get that xx1x in Pikes without overloading SP's (By one). Far as I can tell that template would be 251 SPs.


If you go from TKM/MSword/Pike 0400/Medic 0040 this looks like a decent template...


Sword accuracy/speed will be 310/120
Ranged and Melee defense would be 175/220


Unarmed accuracy/speed will be 275/110
Ranged and Melee defense would be 200/245


However... another option might be this. MTK/Msword/Master Brawler/Pike 0300/Medic 0040
Uses up every shred of SPs but gives good benefits.


Sword accuracy/speed will be 325/135 in this model.
Ranged and Melee defense would be 180/230


Unarmed accuracy/speed will be 290/125
Ranged and Melee defense would be 205/255


Unless you were really hoping to get Improved Leg Sweep in the Pike line... this seems significantly improved to me. (Then again this might effect your 'level' which seems very important, but I honestly don't know how yet.)


Further for those folks looking to do the Triple master... it sure seems like MTK/MBrawl/MSword/Pike 0440/Fence 0001 would actually be a slight improvement. (Fencer 0001 to apply the bleed)


Triple vs Brawler wielding swords would be 315/140 vs 340/135 and R/M Defense would be 220/285 vs 220/280
A significant bump up in accuracy for a less speed and a tiny bit less defense.


However since the high end weapons seem to have close to the same damage per second it appears that the role ratings each prof gets might have more to do with specials than with weapon certs. If thats the case it means a MTK/MSword could have good luck going unarmed rather than wielding that Power Hammer.


In this case, the Triple vs Brawler would be 280/130 vs 305/125 for accuracy/speed and 245/310 vs 245/305 which makes it the highest accuracy unarmed template I've seen.


Anyway... plenty to think about.
