Thread: What will your 2nd COmbat Prof be Post CU?

I was wondering what 2nd Combat Profession TKA's will be taking post CU.


As a Rifleman and grinding TKA anyway, it seems like a good choice but I am leaning more towards Commando now that they require less skills or if I was short on skill points, 2h Swords as we would have the brawler line of that anyway.


Thoughts please...


as an aside, the info on TKArelating to the CU is one of the best for its profession out of most of the forums...so great work!

Not sure about what else I'll get at the moment, but so far it's Teras Kasi Master and Master Smuggler.

With all unarmed weapon certs and mods, it should be strong as a tkm fighter. Plus with the added flexability of the death hammer pistol and launcher pistol, it should be a decent range template as well. Then you factor in the offensive benefits gained from the posion, disease and fire specials as well as high level range healing ability. And of course most grenades as well.

Gonna stay TKM/Master Swords/Master Brawler and throw in some Pikeman for Intim & warcry hopefully.

do u still have innate armor if ur have another weapon at the moment? thatll make me know if i wanna get tkm with rifles or not.

All answers to this question thus far have been "yes". As long as you don't wear any armor, even if it is certed by the other profession, the TK innate armor still works no matter if you have no weapon equipped or you have any other weapon equipped.

All I know is I'll be MTK after CU.


The Triple looks pretty good (MTK/MSword/MFence) with its two handed 315 accuracy and 140 speed decent ranged and impressive melee defense. Bit dull though.


MTK/Msmug/Commando 4400 is sweet and nicely rounded with Accuracy and Speed of 220/120 with unarmed and 160/55 with pistols. The grenades working regardless of what other weapon is equipped is a cherry on top. Very nice defense when unarmed (not bad with ranged) when you toss in grenades on top of that (pun... sort of intended) its all very tempting. MTK/Mcommando/Smug 0440 is quite similar but could use the really big guns rather than pistols.


The final combo I've been checking out is MTK and either MBounty Hunter/Commando 4000 or MCommando/BH 4000. For pretty much the obvious reasons.


So far the best balance in terms of Accuracy/speed vs Defenses seems to be MTK/MSmug/Commando 4400. So that may well be the way I go.
