Hi people.
I'm looking fora pure Jedi Killer template.
I am currently grinding up to TKA Master, so this is what I will maybe be heading for.
Master TKA
Doc = 3/0/4/0 (to heal poison, heal all status effects, and use Stim E's)
Combat Medic = 0/0/0/4 (apply poison and also have superb terrain neg) (not sure on this)
Any advice would be great, especially from other Jedi killing players.
Thanks.
I have an alt with the template TKM/pike4002/doc4030 and have been fighting some jedi. To go pure jedi fighting template you really need defences. Beeing doc almost doesn't help me at all. Against CMs it's great of course, but jedi don't apply poisons, they apply all sorts of states, and they do it fast. This means healing your defences isn't anything to talk about since it would mean constant heals, and no time to do any damage to them. The only way you can get time to do damage/inflict states on them, is if you are in a standing position, and to be that you need defences.
I can understand it as you already have to have much medic from having CM, but then again jedi can heal poisons very easy.
In my mind a pure jedi killing template (not killing CMs) have to have a lot of defences, so: TKM/mfencer/medic2040 or something like that.

Thanks, yeah your right. I think its a case of not having the best of both worlds when it comes to it. Doc is great for pvp as you can heal the states and cure poison, but against Jedi as you say, it takes too long to heal them, when you would be better off doing them damage.
I really want to keep doc, mainly for normal pvp, so I was thinking of doing this
TKA Master
Doc 3,0,4,0
Fencer 0,4,4,0
Then finish off with enhanched relfexes Melee defense or something with the last remaining point.

This character was originally slated to be a buffbot (MDancer) but decided to get some combat with her. Her current templete is:
TKM
M Dancer
xx4x Pike
1xxx Medic
I liked the Pike defense tree beacuse it does give a little bit of everything in terms of State defenses (and beacuse I was already a Master Pikemen when I switched temps). The scattered Defenses that Pike gives me haven't been that great in high-end PvE (Krayt Hunts and lower NSs) or PvP. I've been debating between the three Fencer Defense trees and need some help deciding which to go for.
Stances (!xxx):
Pro - Near capped Melee D and 106 Ranged D is nice for low-end stuff (with 2xxx Medic
).
Pro - Has bonuses throughout the tree, and not at the 2nd and 4th boxes only. Meaning that that third box isn't "wasted" (as you wind up with a near unusable 3 points after getting 2xxx Medic).
Con - Melee/Ranged D, while nice, doesn't help a ton against a Krayt or Spellweaver.
Footwork (x4xx):
Pro - Total 70 KD Def and 80 PC (Down) defense if getting the whole tree.
Con - Little State defenses.
Con - Only has bonuses at the 2nd and 4th boxes, meaning that Medic is restricted to 1xxx.
Tech (xx4x):
Pro - Lots of low defenses against states (50 Blind, 45 Dizzy, 20 Intim/KD/PC (Down), 15 Stun).
Con - Lots of low defenses against states.
Con - No KD or PC (Down) defenses, meaning if Dizzied, I'll still be on my back for a while.
Con - Only has bonuses at the 2nd and 4th boxes, meaning that Medic is restricted to 1xxx.
And for the record the Pike Def tree (xx4x)...:
30 Blind
25 Dizzy
40 KD
50 PC (Down)
35 Stun
84 Melee D
62 Ranged D
... and the ability to unleash DoT madness if you piss me off
.
Now all of these sort of assume TKM, but if I could get just as good a tank without it, I'd be up for suggestions. Also, MDancer has to stay and I'd like to keep at least some Medic.
Right now I'm stumped since neither Footwork or Tech give me what I'm looking for so I'm stuck with the middle-of-the-road Pike Def tree.

What would be a good template that is good at both killing jedi and normal pvp?

Well the second sort of requires some Doc while the other doesn't. Both really need TKM and Master Brawler, not only for the Lunge 2s, but also Intim and Warcry 2.
For "normal" PvP you really need Doc to take care of DoTs so add 3x4x Doc to TKM/Master Brawler and you have a strong standard PvP templete. If you don't really want Doc in your templete, then the below templete should work fine (but you'll have issues with DoTs). The below is also nice if you don't run into DoTs a whole lot, as it helps tons with Riflemen (Ranged Mit 2)
For Jedi PvP, you run into the problem that their states are laid down so fast that its not really worth it to cure them, and you probably have a Doc around if the Jedi has a CM with him. Again with TKM/MBrawler I would suggest:
2x4x Medic (do need some healing on your own)
xx4x Pistoleer (best Def tree in the game plus Ranged Mit 2)
14xx Fencer
The Fencer tree nearly caps you on straight KD def and with Thakitillo you're looking at about 200 KD Defense. You could also grab Technique instead of Footwork (1x4x instead of 14xx) for the other State defenses at the loss of about 50 KD Def.

Hi guys, I am in need of a pute PvE template. I want to use it for both FS grinding (I really hate to have to go the grenade route) and to be able to tank/deal damage in regular PvE. I was told that MB TKM and MSM was the way to go. Any comments?

I'm TKM/M Swordsman/M Brawler/Medic 2,3,4,0/FS
I put my Trando through the ultimate test this morning... soloing an ancient krayt dragon. Though it took nearly an hour, and I didn't get any loot. I atleast know now, that it is possible. In all honesty, swordsman is very repetitive...

Well for FS (not doing Nades) having multiple Melee classes helps a lot, so check. In PvE, the higher you go, the more TKM moves to pure tank, especially at the high end.
Both Swordsman and Pikemen are great for damage dealing in PvE, but Pike does give some more Defenses. Swordsman does a bit better beacuse of its Blast dmg, and beacuse it can speed cap with a Scythe. Pikemen's great beacuse of the Electric dmg, but you are really depending on loot weapons for some of your best ones.
For PvE, the choice between Pike and Swords is mainly up to you, and with TKM as a tank, you should do alright in PvE. Pick up some Medic nd FS on the side and you're set.

Master Fencer
0040 Pistoleer

If you cant beat any jedi with this template you dont deserve to play the game

I am slowly sneaking up on TKM and am looking to do a lot of grouping with folks that like to take on uber tough mobs. What columns or classes in other professions do some of you recommend if you are looking to take on uber tough mobs in up close combat. I would like to be the groups main tank but still dish out some uber damage. I would like to do PvE and PvP once in a while
Thanks

Thank you for that template... I spoke to a fellow in game today that recommended
TKM
Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
Fencer 0440
Do you think this is a good template? Anyone have any cons about this template?

Think you'll have a hard time dealing any damage to a master defender. Pikeman or swordsman would do the job a lot better than TKM.
My ideal template against a jedi would be MPike/Mfencer/TK4300/medic2040 give or take a point in medic or so. That would combine good defense with good offense, especially with defense attachments. In my opinion it's better to go for mastery as a damage dealer and cap the last defenses with attachments. You can't add much dmg to TKM with attachments
