Its an interesting choice in template but can u tell me why would u mix ranged and Melee in my expierience it doesnt work as wella s all melee and all ranged because u can use other profs attacks if they the same as yours in otherwords u can use pistol skills with a carbine but nto with a sword so u are limiting your attack abilitys by taking up a ranged and melee prof.Im just curious how is it, I know alot of ppl use Master Smuggler TKM but i havent had teh chance to fight anyone with a template like this.

To be honest I am still working it out, but so far my only problems are dealing damage, I was dueling a jedi last night and while I wasnt winning I was lasting a very long time, which impressed me as I had just respeced to it. It seems so far to be a strong template, I was tanking CL84 NS with no troubles whatsoever, seriously standing there doing nothing....actually yawning at them ROFL it was funny.

I did this cause I played pistoleer for like 9 months when I started and got tired of saber block so I switched to pike up until CU, I didnt like pike after CU so respeced into a riflemen FOTM, and figured out I just didnt like ranged anymore. So here I am always liked TKM hated the grind, got 4040 before the CU and dropped it for fencer 0440, so I used the token respec as an oppritunity to try something new something different. Not many people have tried the old melee BH dabbler template I think it may still be effective.

TKA is more a support proff. You have a very good CoB, good defence and offcourse initiate armour. It fits well with other melee proffs. Im master TKA/Pikeman doc 4000, and mobs have a great difficulty to get me down. I can withstand 2 lvl 84 NS-stalkers or spiderclan at the same time, toe to toe. TKA is very versatile in solo, as well in group.

"if by "work" you mean "put a swirly graphic over the head of the target but not actually have any effect whatsoever on combat"; yes. "

ha ha! Classic. I guess you have had the same experiences with it that I have then. NADA

To respond to that most brilliant post that displayed such mislead information about the teras kasi master profession and its relationships to star wars lore, In first response i do believe i didnt not state a TKM should be able to always beat a jedi or even be able to, i was simply concerned as to the fact that in star wars lore a tkm should be able to stand against one or "tank" in the current combat system there is no way for a tkm to stand against much at all, and in fact the only skill branch of tk that is worth anything is the Balance and Conditioning Tree, and as to the claim that tkm didnt get nerfed hard by the CU, perhaps you respeced to the profession after the CU, and were not accustomed to the abilities one had before, and i never heard of anyone slaying krayts, nor being sickly amazing tanks, we were simply balanced, our defense wasnt as high, and our offense was higher then 88 per hit against a level 81 mob, no one of us TKM's asked for an uber profession, we realize now in the current system only Bounty Hunters and Jedi have that market cornered, simply stating CoB and TIA is not enough to make a good profession that can stand on its own, and when i speak of TKM or any other profession i speak of them as solo professions vs other professions, not a full templated melee or ranged or jedi profession simply against another profession, it is quite commonly noticed that the professions that become popular get taken down a knotch or two to keep the population down, if you have any more brilliant remarks to this please do state them, its time to educate the younglings in this forum

Until that BH in your group or rifleman (or insert favorite ranged profession here) shoots that level 84 NS and it warps to him. We just can't hold aggro and taunt is useless vs. ranged professions with higher DPS. The only way for us not to run around the battlefield is for the ranged to root or snare the mob which means in the first place the ranged guys did not need us.

Just see how useless melee is in the rapid myddril cave crawl where ranged and roots rule the day. If we go to a mob we aggro everything else since the caves are tightly packed. The only mitigating factor there is if you are a master doc or cm then you would have a different role in the group.

Yes we need a special that does meaningful damage so we can be true tanks and not just place holders.
